Heather 14 is dating a 19 year old, She mentions that he works at “The Ram,” which prods Adam and Drew into asking her why anyone would know what “The Ram” is.
Answer: People know about it around where she lives.
This episode provided the audio and inspiration for Michael Narren’s animated short “Finding Fauntleroy”. Adam starts explains Drew’s infant standardized testing around the 19 minute mark.
The best part:
Drew: “It’s not smegma, it’s meconium.”
Adam: “That was on the test.”
1:12-ish they start a discussion about porn… around 1:14 they talk about guys talking in porn…
Drew : “what makes these people create things which no people ever do?”
Adam : “well, what makes people go see a nic cage movie!?”…
Adam thinks he has mosquito bites on his back. Drew examines them and it turns out it’s hives. Drew says “it’s hives, it’s called urticaria.”
Immediately, Anderson drops in some Hives music. Adam says “is this The Hives? It’s gotta be. Either that or it’s a band called Urticaria.”
haha. This also made me think of how many times Drew has examined something weird on Adam’s body during the history of the show. Adam is a friggin mess.
A detailed breaking down of Hobo Power, the unit by which Adam suggests we measure stench.
A run of the mill fart with a moderately strong bouquet is a 10 on the Hobo Scale.
To reach a 50 on the scale, the stench must make you vomit. 100 on the scale is just theoretical, like absolute zero. No man has ever encountered a 100 and lived to tell the tale.
Drew says he’s experienced 70. This was doing a gynecological examination of a homeless woman who hadn’t showered in months and left a tampon in for months. “It can physically knock you out of the room.”
This isn’t the first time they’ve talked about Hobo Power and certainly not the last. Adam still has people call in to his podcast and give their hobo power stories, and Adam places them on the scale.
Eric. The caller who created the Germany or Florida the song calls in
The Ram is a small chain of restaurants, now in 5 states but probably only in WA and OR when this show aired. Also Eric works at the print shop, Theo does the GorF and ARACD.
Apbmon, the guy who came up with the GORF theme is named Theo. There is a frequent caller named Eric (or Print Shop Eric) who does really accurate impressions of Adam’s numerous repetitive rants.
This is a great show, a mix of everything that makes this show amazing.
