A grundle mention at the beginning of the show – I love this term but have not heard it much on LL. A friend of ours convinced his mom that grundle was a term for gristle on meat. She seriously said at dinner “honey – let me cut the grundle off of that chicken”.
I’m also a fan of “grundle.” I prefer that and “gooch” over the standard “taint.”

Just after the 1-hour mark, the very first call, I believe, from Print Shop Eric. He’s a routine LL caller on this show, with a question about his baby mama. He would call back on 2004-08-23 to do a legendary Adam impression, and a handful of times after that, often to play Germany or Florida.

Death Valley talk…
A woman calls in near the beginning of the show and says that her boyfriend recently went nuts on her and got so angry that he took all the dishes and threw them against the wall. Adam asks what the guy does for a living and she says he’s a structural engineer.
Adam: “Nerds. Spazzing out. I love it. It’s great when a guy can’t throw a proper tantrum just starts spinning out. Voice cracking. I picture Dr. Bruce really going nuts on a chick. ‘Auaaawauaa.'”
A girl calls in who says that she called the show a few months ago and they told her she needed to be on anti depressants. She started taking them in teh intervening months and it changed her life. She thanks the guys for their advice. Adam then points out that they’re receiving an inordinate amount of compliments from the callers tonight.
Adam: “Normally its just like ‘Yeah….Dr. Jew, Allen…”
Printshop Eric calls in around 1:10 with what appears to be a genuine question.
Fairly average episode but not bad. Learned a lot about Death Valley
You have engineer Chris “Beating himself a river…” and “Fecalburg” , why would we ever need a guest on the show? Love between the two host Ep’s rule!!!
They actually take a fair number of calls. I will give Adam credit for a good number of funny quips the past 3-4 shows. I’ve listened to a couple thousand shows so I don’t know why this week of shows stand out, but he has just had some good riffs lately. More entertaining than his rants (although there have been some of those, too).
When the Death Valley girl said she was interested in history I wish they quizzed her about WW II. It would be fun to hear a caller rise to the occasion for once. (but she did sound pretty out of it)
