Adam talks about how we treat fat people really cruelly is this society. When you hear a guy who’s rail thin with veins in his stomach say “what can I tell you, I pig out at all hours of the day, I never exercise, I eat junk food” we just go “yeah, alright.” But then if a fat guy says “I don’t eat junk and I run every morning” we’re like “sure you do lardo. Have another Twinkie lardo. What are those Twinkies dilled with, cream…or LIES!?!”
Adam makes a reference to the “point of no return” for aircraft taking off. Cool reference. It’s actually a velocity rather than a point on the runway. That is known as “V1” or “takeoff decision speed” (or more to Adam’s point, “refusal speed”). Once you hit that speed, you are going up, because there is no stopping on the runway.
Travis Barker was also on Loveline and talked about surviving and recovering from his tragic jet crash. The accident was actually caused by the pilot trying to abort a takeoff after having already exceeded V1. Had he obeyed V1 the crash may have had a much different outcome.
