Girl calls in who called a month before. She’s giving them an update on her drinking and sexual compulsion. She says she hasn’t touched liquor since her call but she can’t seek professional help (as they advised her to do) because “we lost our INsurance and we’re flat broke.”

Adam: “You know, I’ve found that people who pronounce the word insurance like “INsurance” are half as likely to be insured.”

Drew: “My data says less than half.”

Lol, I always hated that. Sorry rednecks, but it sounds so goddamn stupid.

…..What does he say that prompted that comment? I listened to a minute and four in and didn’t hear anything out of the ordinary–he’s just talking about how sobering it was to visit ground zero in NYC after 9/11–so I checked an hour and four minutes in just to make sure you weren’t mistaken and….nothing.

I’m not challenging you, I’m just literally intrigued by what you felt was so egotistical that it made you make such a definitive comment.

At about 50:00, a girl calls in with her feelings about what Corolla had previously said, misunderstanding him for being prejudice against “middle eastern people.” Both Adam and Drew are very sensitive with her, explaining what he actually said and meant, sprouting a discussion about what Americans of middle eastern descent have to deal with now (meaning at the time of air).
All in all, a great episode reflecting the times.
