Solid show. Pretty run-of-the-mill calls. Tony’s call around the 1:05 mark was pretty serious and sad. Happy that we’re still getting restored shows on this site every now and again.

I really think Tony at 01:03:50 is Tucson Thomas, the original mason jar caller. Similar vocal mannerisms and it strains credulity to think someone would let cancer go untreated. It sounds very much like him at the beginning, then disguises his voice better as the call goes along. Also the name (Tony) starts with a T.
It’s him. Listen to 5/28/1997, the show where Tyra Banks shows up sick. Drew nails him then. He’s been away for a while and Drew’s out of practice recognizing him. He has zero details on anything. Doesn’t know anything about the cancer. He correctly figured the subject matter was so serious the guys wouldn’t call bogus. 99% sure it’s him. He does a great job disguising his voice if it’s him.
