I am not a night person. Even as a teenager I usually was in bed by the time Loveline came on at 10:00. I started listening in 1996 when I was 17. At that time I would just listen for a few minutes and then go to sleep. I didn’t become a fulltime listener until a few years later when I was working the swing shift. I got off work at 11:00 and that last hour on the job was always a busy one, keeping me from the radio. I started taping the show, turning the tape over for the second hour right before I left for the night. The next day I would listen to the previous night’s show. As the months wore on, I found myself buying more tapes because there were certain episodes that I wanted to hear over and over again. I kept those tapes for years and turned them into audio files later. Sadly, I lost the audio files when my computer crashed and a boyfriend convinced me to chuck the tapes the last time I moved. If I happen to find one of the old tapes lying around, I’ll send it in. Thanks so much for the site.
