I was in the studio April 4, 2003 for playmate Laurie Fetter’s appearance. The guys are pretty much what you’d expect. Adam rolled in seconds before the show started. Drew was already there when I walked in the door around 9:50. Drew was super welcoming and spent a least one break talking to callers “off the air” because he was worried about them. Adam was exactly the Magnificent Bastard you tune in for. He spent at least one break talking to me about the size of Laurie’s “jugs”. I took Adam a pie and he seemed to appreciate it, even though it was rather second rate. I still regret that I didn’t have time to find a really good one.
This post has received 1 vote up.I always reacted to the Lightning Round about the way I react to Olympic-level rhythmic gymnastics. I know those girls are very talented and exceptionally good at what they do. I just don’t want to watch it.
The Lightning Round is brilliant satire. No one can skewer talentless radio hacks as pitch perfectly as Ace Rockolla. But geez, it’s so uncomfortable listening to some clueless 14-yearold trying to get a word in edgewise on the Aceman and his cowbell. Oh, and yes, I’ll post dates if I come across any LR shows.This post has received 1 vote up.I recall several days of rants after Adam returned from his various Europe trips. I believe he got back from his first one on September 9, 2002.
On June 7, 2004 Adam returned from his 40th birthday trip to Europe.
If you want rants, the days following these dates in 2002 and 2004 are pretty good.
BUT, I’d start with June 8, 2004. He definitely touches on outdoor drinking in this one.
