From memory, I’m pretty sure Adam mentions hating it when comedians
come in and just do their schtick and never “be real” but just stay in a 1-Dimensional character.
Triumph hates those comedians too.
I remember hearing this one live.
This is awkward and unfunny.
IF you love Triumph, you will most likely love this show. It is in my top 5. Adam really likes Triumph, but not Conan (he calls him and most talk show hosts pussies). But Triumph, true to form, somewhat gets the better of Adam. Robert Smeigel, Triumph’s voice and creator, is so brilliant he seems to frustrate Adam a bit. Its kind of awkward at first, but eventually they seem to find some common comedic ground. Very unique, interesting and most of all hilarious show!
I don’t know why I didn’t assume there wouldn’t be a few ‘where is your accent from’ questions posed to a plastic dog by LL callers.
Adam manages to crack up Triumph several times.
All in all a decent episode….for me to poop on!
Hilarious. I laughed out loud many times. I forgot how funny Triumph was.
Time has not been kind to Triumph. Not sure this would have been tolerable at his height of popularity, either, though…
The only reason I didn’t give this 1 star is that it’s so nice to hear Adam bash Conan.
I dunno what snowblindfriend is talking about. This episode was a laugh riot. I do agree the Adam bashing Conan was pretty awesome though. Totally worth the listen.
So so good. Smigel is super fast and the fact he can keep in character for two hours is pretty awesome.
Lots of funny parts throughout the show, with some awkward ones too. Many jokes and strange callers all night. 4/5
I used to love this guy when I was a kid, ahhh the nostalgia.
Not a fan of triumph. Shit and ass jokes are not funny at all. Meh episode
Smigel kills it… (Talking about Germany of Florida) “Anything that starts on the Jimmy Kimmel Show has to be good.”
Adam: “Actually this never started, it sat around for six months and we started doing it here….”
“It wasn’t GOOD enough for the JIMMY KIMMEL Show?! And you’re passing it off as entertainment? Oh my god.” LOL
Later on Adam seriously cracks him up with his riffing on Family Affair.
Very hilarious guest. Love him!
I loved this episode. Triumph killed it and his Linkin Park impression was hilarious! it was interesting to hear Carolla hate on Conan and talking about being banned. Sounded like Carolla bombed and Adam blamed Conan. Classic episode!
