Show Summary:

This is the "moth night" episode where Drew's snack from the station vending machine winds up chock full'o'moths. This is right around an hour and twelve minutes. Everclear is the guest, and they're quite good, participating in the calls and bantering with Adam and Drew. Some topics for discussion include a water-themed Chasey Lain porn, Napster and media sharing versus theft, and how Adam won't be funny anymore when he has kids.

Very funny show. Art from Everclear is a good guest and gives some decent advice. Then Drew eats some moths from the vending machine. Adam keeps eating from the bag.

    5/5

A special treat for those who have never heard this episode before. Not only are the guys from Everclear great guests, but it’s also the famous Moth Night, where Drew inadvertently snacks on a whole sack of nuts that just so happens to be full of dead moths. He doesn’t realize it’s full of moths until he’s nearly done with the whole bag.

It’s really one of the most spontaneous and hilarious moments in the show’s history. So are the subsequent retellings in later episodes. Adam and Drew are furious with Westwood One (aka Westwood None) and the company that stocks the vending machines.

Adam: “Don’t toss that Drew, bag it up as exhibit A. I’m gonna get some goddamn money out of Westwood One yet.”

Later, a kid calls in and says that he heard on his local radio station that Everclear has a song that starts out exactly like one of Savage Garden’s songs. They even played the two songs back-to-back and the kid agrees that they sound remarkably similar. Art (lead singer of Everclear) actually gets pretty defensive about it and sounds pissed.
