A handful of interesting calls. One girl wants to try aborting with megadoses of Vitamin C (which actually does have historical precedent though this isn’t discussed). One girl can only get off with phone sex. She reports her dad abandoned the family when they were young and her mom went through four husbands after that. Bizarrely, Dr. Drew doesn’t pick up on the connection between distance and the converse effect of actual intimacy freaking her out. Another guy is on steroids.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a good guest, engaging with the callers. He makes a few comments indicating that he likes the mary jane and debates Drew over a few points about sexual function.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt came in less than a minute and half: FACT.
Adam talks about how ‘nature’ is described in L.A. by how many animals you hit with your car. Funny.
Joseph is a blowhard in the making. Annoying as hell to hear actors acting like acting actually takes talent.
Here’s that movie Adam was in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ohqd6kSj4c
I have no idea how “mixiearmadillo” can call him a great guest, I agree with the other commenter that he was terrible and a huge blow hard in the making. I listened to his previous visit to the show from 2003 and not only did his voice sound very different but he’s basically a different kid, just such a tool, he wouldn’t play along with any of the jokes, they all seemed to go right over his head. The part with him arguing about his street cred bc he hung out with kids from Van Nuys even though Adam pulled it out of him that he’s really from Sherman Oaks and JGL got all flustered and upset was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. I’ve been seeing shades of d-bag with this guy for a bit but always gave him the benefit of the doubt, after hearing this not so much though. I guess it’s hard to blame a child actor, and I wouldn’t have even been surprised if he wasn’t such a nice cool young guy in his 2003 appearance. Oh well, life goes on, just don’t expect a great show with this one.
best celebutard moment when the guest wants to laugh but has to sit silent with drew at 24:25
Listen to Joseph Gordon Levitt’s 2003 appearance and it’s night-and-day compared to this one. He fanboy’d over the show and even proclaimed he called in as a youth. Here, he sounds like he doesn’t even wanna be there and generally has a stick up his ass.
Still a great actor but definitely makes me like him less…
Guest is a huge blowhard (annoyingly so) and spouts numerous cliches that Adam and Drew routinely mock otherwise. Honestly one of the very few shows I’d recommend skipping.
Joseph is always a fun guest. I find it funny when he calls out Drew from time to time. Anderson doing the “shut up drop.” Everytime they try the Marco Polo bit is awesome. Getting old. Good episode overall.
