Wow!! Talk about a hidden gem. I’ve never heard others mention or comment on this show, maybe because Pepper is one of the most obscure bands they’ve ever had, but this is a GREAT show. The band members are full of energy, they’re fans of the show and everyone is having a good time. A good selection of calls, too–nothing really heavy.

Classic smoke detector low battery hi jinx in this episode. Got the beep timing down to a science.
This is probably one of the most underrated episodes of LL.
Pepper basically plays stoner surfer music so they fit in perfectly.

Well, I hate to be a wet blanket, but Pepper really ruined this episode for me. They would not shut up! The talked over Adam, Drew, and the callers. Incredibly annoying.

I don’t think the interruptions were that big of a deal. I love it when people laugh at Adam, Makes it ok for me to laugh. haha
Decent calls but the band kinda annoying.
Great episode. I love it when Dr. Drew and Adam actually like the band. They play Germany or Florida and mexican accordion countdown. Smoke detector bonus, plus the band flirts with engineer Michelle.

I need to call out @1:08:35 Drew calls the caller’s boyfriend job about two beats before the caller says what it is.
Adam: “What does your boyfriend do for a living?”
Drew: “Metal!”
Caller: “He is the part owner of a metal construction framing company”…
Wow! The hosts and the caller skip over like it’s no big deal.
Adam does commend Drew on making a good call by guessing metal; it’s just not immediate.
Interesting that the lead singer is named “Kaleo”. If i remember correctly, that means “The voice” in Hawaiian.
This episode’s Ace’s Ranchero Accordion Countdown is amazing. I thought the band was gonna come to blows. One of the band members goes immediate, one goes one second, then a third, hilariously, goes .5 seconds. I don’t know how they expected to judge accordion music with this level of precision.
47:02: band member says “Anal Hershiser” (referencing Dodger legend / actual first name Orel)
Not sure why Anderson felt compelled to play the DAG “SHUT UP!” drop when Engineer-ess Michelle talks on air.
I always greatly enjoyed Anderson, but cannot get behind the times he did that to her. She is easy to like.
This show sucks. Not only is the “band” annoying but their music is so bad just these two songs sucked one year of my life away. Just atrocious.
This was a great episode! Rare 5 star. Drew doing a 10 second countdown was hilarious, the band were very enthusiastic with the show. Buffalo butt was in a mood hating all the bits. And some funny callers. Good times
