Show Summary:

From the movie New York Minute

Adam discusses returning from Europe the day before, Adam discusses his wife "Lynette" being extremely sick the whole way home(just like Drew's kids were in a previous episode I mentioned) throwing up in the taxi and the airport and the airplane.

Adam describes carrying the paper bag full of vomit which of course busted open when Adam was a foot away from the trash can.

Drew discusses Clinton's upcoming book where he supposedly reveals he is a Sex Addict, Drew correctly predicts his cop out in the book.

Extended discussion regarding Clinton and his personality disorder as well as the relationship between Bill and Hillary, Drew lets his theories fly he claims he has known many thing about Bill and his marriage before he was ever president.

Very interesting discussion.

Adam asks all kind of "Bizarre" question regarding getting high and waking up in character.

Darrell does these impressions in this episode:

Chris Matthews
Bill Clinton
Sean Connery
Al Sharpton
Jesse Jackson

Drew's first attempt at good radio.

Darrell and Drew discuss working on the Olsen Twins movie "New York Minute" in Toronto during that huge blackout, and there never ending quest to find bottled water.

Adam "some folk singer ought to write a song about the night the lights went out in Quebec"

Drew "Toronto"

Adam "Yeah, that's too bumpy though"

Great Episode!

Extended discussion regarding the Regis and Kelly sketch from SNL.

Adam discusses his recent Europe trip, Adam goes off on Italy and compares it to Mexico.

Adam "Italy is like Mexico studied for the Sat's"

Drew comments that he knew Adam would notice how people there are not fond of working.

Adam discusses how much he missed carpeting while in Italy, everything was tile and he missed cushion under his feet.

Darrell replies "I have that problem with due process"

(fucking hilarious!!!!)

Adam discusses how him and Drew never did forget that story of the Disney Cruise and the underground Bahamian prison.

Darrell is surprised he told that story on the show, he didn't even remember telling it on the air.

They then discuss asking him to tell it again on his last appearance but it seemed to be too painful to talk about.

Darrell Comments the he no longer finds telling the story to be so unpleasant, and then he proceeds to tell a truncated version of the Legendary story.

Adam declares that this will be a "Heavy" show, with a weird discussion on the unknown and how people relate to deities.

"Break it Down" "Get a Hand in"

While Adam is doing ThunderBear Darrell comments "what is that, Chinese"

He then proceeds to do his own character that Adam names "Hop Sing"

The Thunderbear and Hop sing Team up is priceless!!!!

Pretty good episode. The Chief Thunderbear-“Hop Sing” duet is a letdown, however. Maybe Darrell leaned back to chill as the Chief did his thang; in any case, he is practically inaudible.

  2. Landlubber

Totally agree on Chief Thunderbear. Kind of a funny concept the first time they did it, but surprising that it became a regular bit. Especially because it relies on Drew so much. All Adam does is chant and yell, while Drew is supposed to translate and try to be funny.

Great show and interesting guest. As to why the Chief Thunderbear stuff became a bit, i dont know as it wasnt the best thats for sure.

I think it was one of the few bits which Drew was able to be involved in….maybe thats why it hung around. I think Adam was always trying to get Drew involved in more of the comedy jags on the show.

I honestly thoroughly enjoy the Chief Thunderbear bit, it’s kind of lame but at the same time Drew still generally gives good advice, and it frees Drew up to give advice that is free from Adam commenting on it, I think it works well between both of them with them both giving up a little of their comfort zone but still helping the caller.

Darrell is a strange mixture of opening up about his drug arrest and “deer in headlights”/not participating during heavy calls. Makes a little sense reading about his past, though.
