Great, great, great. Love this one.
One of My favorites
Frankly, Jay is extremely interruptive and can’t shake the schtick, as it were. There has to be a punchline to every fricking word Drew says, and after about 5 minutes, it gets super annoying.
Also, why does he constantly say Julianne Nicholson’s name? It’s a callback that was never funny.
Jay is a horrible guest, interrupting everyone, He seems a little tweaked even. Doesn’t seem to care or know how to interact with other people. Really doesn’t care about the callers, and gives incredibly bad advice. This guy is supposed to be a comedian? The Walken impersonation is cool, but he can’t even achieve basic humorous banter with Adam.
I know a lot of people hate Jay, and I may be biased because I used to be a big fan of his, but I didn’t think he was all that bad on this episode. I really enjoyed the episode actually, and a little extra talkative is better than completely silent IMO.
On second thought, he does cut Adam off a shitload of times. It gets annoying because you know Adam’s trying to go on one of his rants and instead Jay comes in really loud with something that’s not very funny.
Still worth a listen though, but I understand and agree with the others. Jay is pretty obnoxious.
Jay is his normal dick self. He displays the kind of overbearing manic behavior that he would later come out and apologize for. He mentions it every now and again in interviews and even on his sports radio show that he does. He went through a period where he was intentionally an asshole to everyone he met. I don’t know if it was an image he was trying to cultivate or if he was just actually an asshole, but he came around eventually and knocked it off.
Now, as far as Loveline guests go, at least he participates. A little much, but at least he’s not dead silent. And he could step on comedy and interrupt a hundred more times than he did in this episode, and he would still look like a shy mouse compared to any of DAG’s appearances.
@Landlubber The only DICK is you
Jay Mohr is fantastic, as usual, but he takes up a lot of Adam’s talking space, I kind of rely on Adam talking a lot.
I wanna kick landlubber in the nuts
Always love when the Favreau incident is brought up.
Jay is a tricky guest to rate. If anything I would compare him to DAG in that he’s an acquired taste, only difference is that he only shows up this one time. Throughout the show I went from loving him to lukewarm and back again. Over all I still like him because he had a good number of 1 liners that really made me chuckle.
Jays a great guest full of jokes and pizazz, Julianne is a little lackluster and timid. Really good episode
I feel like a good portion of the female guests on this show are timid and strive so hard to produce an attractive fake laugh the entire time tbh. some female guests are the opposite and i LOVE that
Jay freaking out about the stupidity of the callers was hilarious.
Honestly I’m a little shocked by the high ratings and positive comments for this episode. Jay Mohr is extremely annoying throughout the entire show, has zero chemistry with either Adam or Drew, and namedrops Julianne so many times that you’d swear he was trying to get in her pants or something
Yep, having trouble finishing this one.. Jay is obnoxious.
UGH yea he was tolerable at first but forty minutes in he becomes unbearable. Him interrupting Drewis not only obnoxious but impedes the callers’ questions about their health, such as the man who complained about his tendency to hold in his feces.
Definitely seems obsessed with Julie and wants to get down her pants. VERY VERY possible he was on something tonight due to him speaking out about his struggles with addiction in 2022.
Blah.
