Adam goes off on anime
Adam plays what would later be called “The Hypothetical Road Trip Game,” with Drew serving as the Larry Miller character. He also brings up his favorite hypothetical ever, about the creepiest/ugliest person at your school/office.
While reading off upcoming guests, Adam mentions Dennis Rodman (didn’t end up happening). That would have been awesome. I was better off not knowing.
A lot of body-piercing calls. The Prince Albert call was traumatizing.
A kid named Dan calls in and says he’s bisexual. He wonders if the pornography he watched as a young child could have shaped his sexuality. He explains that his parents don’t know.
Dan: “My parents, well my dad is dead, but….*Adam slips in very quietly under his breath “he killed himself.”*
Funnily enough, later in the call Dan reveals that his dad did in fact commit suicide.
Adam brings up that he recently read that teens in the United States are the fattest in the world and we’re just getting fatter. Drew says Europeans are just completely shocked at the portion sizes we eat. When he was traveling in Holland for medical school, he ordered a ham and cheese omelet and they were like “ham AND cheese in the same omelet? Two eggs?” lol. That’s so odd to think of. They contrast that by saying “look at all the Pizza Hut commercials.” It really is absurd when you look at it. We’re just used to it, but you can get a frigging pizza with eight different types of meat on it, a bunch of cheese, then just for good measure, a shit ton of cheese in the crust. It’s insane. And delicious.
Decent show, Adam seems to be in a pretty good mood… he doesn’t jump down callers’ throats like he does the next night.
Adam hates anime. Claims video games affect men’s productivity in real life.
