“Tara don’t call me Tar-ah” – her last show.
I am from the past. Peruvian caller Lorenzo, who calls in at 43 minutes to take issue with Adam claiming that sexual abuse of children is much more prevalent in the Latin cultures, also called five years before this on 10/13/1998. The sexual abuse comment that Lorenzo is referring to comes from that phone call in 1998. I guess it’s been on his mind.
Caller Miriam starts her call by fawning over call screener Tara.
Miriam: “First of all I wanna say goodbye to call screener Tara because she’s a wonderful phone screener, I love her so and I really hope that she does well.”
Adam: “Yeah, Tara don’t call me Tar-ah, this is gonna be her last night.”
Miriam: “Yeah and that’s really sad because she’s a great phone screener and I’m sure she’s a good person so good luck.”
Adam: “What did she talk you up on hold or something?”
Miriam: “No but I used to call and she’d pick up and I’d be like oh she’s the greatest, so…”
Adam: “Oh really? You know her work?”
lol. But Miriam’s call is interesting. She gets into a discussion about abortion and religion with the guys. She’s not pushy with her beliefs and can keep up. Need more callers like her. She does ask one naive question which is “If you’re an atheist then how do you know what’s right an wrong?” This gets Adam going on religion and the ratio of good God fearing folks in prison for rape and murder
Adam: “It’s the age old question. If you’re not religious how do you know right from wrong? Well I have a brain, I have a conscience, I’m an intelligent person. I understand that it’s inherently wrong and empirically evil to F my own kid in the A. Those are all God fearing people in prison who have raped their kids and beat up old women and shived guys who owed ’em $10. Listen, Atheists have more to lose. You gotta worry about the guys who can be forgiven. Atheists can’t be forgiven. You can kill somebody and ask the Lord for forgiveness. All they do is interview these guys, it’s like ‘what happened?’ ‘Well, I stayed from the flock a little but since I’ve been in the joint I’ve reestablished my relationship with Jesus Christ and he’s forgiven me.’ Well that’s great! You’ve got six co-eds still in the ground! You gonna see them in heaven? That’s gotta be uncomfortable. ‘What happened?! You let him in?! He strangled me with a car antena when I was 17 before he raped my corpse!’ ‘Yeah yeah, but he’s in. He repented.’ Hey it all makes sense. All makes sense.

Is caller Miriam actually a “normal” version of serial bogus-caller Miriam from earlier in the year? She did get called out on the previous show by the listener that busted her. And, Tara was the one that put all the fake Miriam calls on the air, so it is fitting Miriam would call to say goodbye. Note, “normal” Miriam said she was 16, so she would have been born in 1987 if she were telling the truth… just a clue if we ever get around to finding her.
Lol at Miriam calling Tara a great phone screener. Tara’s the one that fell for all her horrible bogus calls — not that Adam and Drew did much better.

Adam in a nutshell: He chides the phone screeners for writing DAYNA (for the name Dana) and tells them to WRITE IT HOW YOU SAY IT. Which is exactly what they did.
