During one of her later releases. Jewel mentions that she wanted this album to be like the morale-boosting records during WW2. She talks a lot about her earlier life between Alaska and San Diego. She also mentions that she understands downloading but doesn’t want “kids” to complain when her music is used in commercials and such since she loses money through filesharing. She also tells a story about hitchhiking and the guy who picked her up throwing in a request to see her tits in the middle of an otherwise normal conversation.
She seems a bit uncomfortable on the show. Not a bad epi, though.
Jewel sucks Adam asks her 12 times about Alaska and when it’s dark all day and when it’s light all day and what that’s like and she answers “the summer solstice and winter solstice just like everywhere else ” no shit but it’s not dark for 24 hrs a day everywhere else…whatever just because she’s a good songwriter doesn’t make her intelligent
But Adam andDr. drew always makes for a good episode 🙂
Solid show though Jewel is quiet and doesn’t contribute to much she seems nice though.
57:40 Sounds like the same guy who called with a Germany or Florida who then claimed he F’d the S out of his girlfriend and his friend’s wanted to make him a plaque, then he says Adam is a wanna be Gilbert Gotfried., pretty sure it’s the same guy.
At 1:24:00 Adam has a great rant about lawyers, due to his underpants being taken away at the hospital and then not having his booze delivered to his home.
Some frog calls in and speaks to drew in French
Some dummy calls up to kiss Jewel’s ass, says that when he buys the music it’s much better quality anyways than illegal downloads, so he encourages everybody to go out and support the artist, HA….. also, iTunes had been online ~50 days as of airing of this show. Times were a changin’.
Jewel was actually a good guest. Tells a couple stories and actually saves the show at the start while Adam complains about the equipment. She’s very “loose” in this episode… especially with the S word.
Jewel is cute but be careful she is a girl with a lot of reserve. She is so deep.
My cell mate in prison said he personally knew jewel in Alaska.
Jewel was not quiet or uncomfortable. She was a nice, thoughtful guest. Drew seemed a little TOO interested. Someone brings up her Wizard of Oz musical performance, which I had never heard of.
She leaves after the first half.
