Robert Downey Jr. calls into the show and tells some good jokes and stories. Talks to Adam about his “Hobo Power” and he jokes about taking a poo on Adam! Deborah, which is Robert’s Ex wife, has a nice conversation with him too.
Great phoner from RDJ – he is hilarious and Deborah is a charming guest who is not afraid to talk about her past demons.
Deboarah really digs Adam’s humor. When they are talking about Hobo Power, she is cracking up. She was supposed to just stay for an hour, and ended up staying the entire show.
When Robert Downey Jr calls in he sounds messed up on something.
I finally get to hear the infamous Robert call. Idk if he’s drunk or something but his voice has an energy to it. I’m not exactly sure why he’s calling in but it sounds like he has some kind of desperate agenda since he repeatedly takes the conversation back to their failed relationship. Robert is a master conversationalist with an immense amount of charisma and easily manipulates the conversations flow in his direction. I’d like to think that a lot of the answers he gives are cleverly hidden beneath the sarcasm. I’m not even sure he had a reason for why he called in. Yet another gem from the loveline vault.
Debs a good guest they get along really well. The hobo power discussion went on too long but good overall episode. Robert Downey Jr is the last call of the night with some good discussions.
I absolutely hate the Hobo Power era…hate hearing it come up because it’s a gaurunteed 5-10 mins of boring banter…”boring bit”
And as I’m listening, it just keeps coming up….god what an ugly skidmark on this show and all other shows…DId I mention how much I hate the Hobo Power bit?
Aside from beating the hobo power joke to death (funny the first few minutes), very good episode. Adam is in a good mood and seems more empathic than usual towards the callers.
