Show Summary:

From the band United States of Whatever

Show Contains: Caller Silk, Adam pissed,

Liam is a good guest that brings a crazy, manacle laugh to the show. He is the source of the "Whatever!" drop. It's from a song they play later on in the show.

A listener named Tim Wagner sent a bunch of smoked almonds into the studio because Adam mentioned how much he like them a few days ago.

Caller Silk calls in again. When confronted on why he calls in every night, he says it is only about once week. This is his tenth call. Adam yells at Drew for exaggerating. Adam hangs up on him for having a stupid name but then Anderson explains Adam gave him the name. His real name is Kevin.

Last night was when they played the dictionary game and the 14 year old girl cheated with her computer.

Liam talks about shooting the Tenacias D video "Tribute." When he mentions that Dave Grohl was in it, Adam says that Dave is pissed off at him for knocking on his door, being greeted by Dave's fiancé and then later explaining to Dave that a floozy answered the door. He didn't know that it was his fiancé.

Liam talks about Dave's drumming in Queens of the Stone Age. When they recorded it, he says they had to throw out the drum set because he beat it up so badly from playing so loud.

"My United States of Whatever" is played. You here the "Whatever!" drop in there.

Drew gives another shout out to Tim at Mezza inc. for the almonds. Adam says he will let anyone give him stuff, such as food, if he promotes them on air.

Adam attempts to go off on something but his mic cuts out and he stops the rant. Liam says instead of getting a Mini, he is looking into a 350Z, both cars that Adam owns.

Liam makes a funny by saying "Does Alcohol run in your pharmacy???"

Adam decides on hanging up on callers as soon as they say yes or no so they don't have to hear any long, drawn-out stories.

Liam says "My United States of Whatever" was a complete improv and done in just one take.

When a caller mentions Marilyn Manson, Liam says he did some music with him on the show Clone High. I think this might be his song about the food pyramid.

Adam gets on a good rant about foreign deserts and his mic cuts out once again. He storms out of the studio and tells Drew to say goodbye. He wraps up the call then goes to commercial but before doing so knocks over a glass of water all over Adam's crappy mic.

Coming back from the break, Adam has a new mic and complains about Westwood None.

Liam mentions working with Jim Henson. Adam mentions he died suddenly of some disease had. Drew thinks otherwise though and they argue about it throughout the show.

A caller says she wants to kill herself instead of trying electroshock therapy but they try to change her mind by talking it.

A 17 year old girl calls in who is 5'6" and 105 lbs and dating a 15 year old. It makes no sense. Producer Ann even chimes in and is outraged.

Drew makes a reference to jackals eating hay. Adam and Liam ask him what that is so he goes on an internet search to show them. He says it is a large, horse like animal from Africa with a long nose"¦

During the next call, Drew jumps up out of nowhere and says "Taper!" the name of the animal.

A caller tells Drew that there is a scandal about Dr. Phil getting caught in a stock fraud. This makes Drew happy.

This guy acts like he’s gonna be or already is too good for the show. Probably working a waffle house about now…

Looks like he’s done some oddball work with Sarah Silverman, but not a whole lot else.

I don’t know what the other commenters are talking about, Liam is hilarious and gets along well with Adam and Drew. I used to watch Sifl and Olly, too, Liam is just a funny dude getting a kick out of life. He seems pretty clear that his work isn’t meant to go anywhere, he’s not interested in becoming a rock star. I had some serious belly laughs from this show, 5 stars.

First two commenters are dead wrong. Liam is a fan of Adam & Drew and a fun guy. Obviously he didn’t take himself seriously: his album is called ‘Fake Songs.’ I wish he’d come back.

Good Show! I liked Liam, he never sounded anything like what few other commenters claim. Imo he fitted right in there with Adam and Drew. His music sounds cool too. Other than a couple slightly distracting laugh outbursts, I think he was a perfectly good guest.

I didn’t watch much (or any) Sifl and Olly and somehow totally missed the Whatever song back in the day (source of the drop). So I didn’t know who this guy was. Good guest though!
Looking back, the Whatever song/video fit right into that era where videos were shared online but YouTube wasn’t around yet… things were still shared mostly through Web 1.0 means (MySpace started this same year and helped kickstart social networking).
I could picture a “tapir” but didn’t know what they were called!
