Granted, I haven’t listened to this show yet, but there’s no way this is the origin of the “articulate” drop. I’ve heard it way before 2003.
Nice catch, might be on 2001-03-21…
yea its actually the origin of the “i know what the ladies like, they like giving me oral” drop
Adam shows up late, and drunk. Cheryl is a fan of the show.
Cheryl’s a good and engaging guest. Worth a listen.
at around 1 hour in adam tells the story of the “not beating off” contest he had with his friends back in the days. funny and they also have a discussion about guys and their need to beat off. cheryl is a good guest.
The “articulate” drop came from 8/6/200 with Kate Moennig and Ian Somerhalder.
Yes, not the origin of the drop- but it is placed in such a way that it could be construed as the original (no one laughed afterward- and it didn’t overlap any of the dialogue)
Really enjoyed this episode. Great guest, very funny.
1:12:21 – Origin of the Adam drop “I know what the ladies like, they like giving me oral”
Really good episode. Cheryl was a great guest. Adams comes in late drunk, and hilarity ensues. Top notch
00:49:51 Adam complaining about the gap between Seasons 2 & 3 of Curb Your Enthusiasm. It’ll get longer in the future.
Cheryl promoting Curb.
Curb ran from 2000 to 2024 for 12 seasons with large gaps in between seasons.
Cheryl is married to RFK jr the current Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Adam uses the term “underpants” instead of the more common “underwear.” I always found that amusing, along with his use of “thong-back.”
They get into pretty good detail about the filming style of Curb, which was novel back then.
