Adam’s larynx hurts through the entire show. He explains that his voice has a hard time healing because he sleeps with his mouth open and he talks for a living.
– A stoned/drunk caller calls in asking about the dangerous of experimenting with mushrooms for his homeboy’s “twenty-oneth” birthday. Adam tells him some other things he should experiment with.
_Adam talks about his hs reunion and later in the show a nephew of one of Adam’s classmates calls in
Caller: I just don’t want him to think I’m not good enough…
Adam: To hump?? Guys hump chicks that are passed out, matter of fact some of us prefer it, Drew’s raising his hand now.
solid episode great listen!
15-year-old Robbie calls in at the end of the show and he is the nephew of Diane Cox, one of Adam’s former classmates in high school. She was a cheerleader and apparently Adam used to lift up her skirt. Robbie says his aunt told him that she and Adam dated for a bit back then.
Adam: “Oh we never dated.”
Robbie: “You didn’t? She said you guys dated for a bit.”
Adam: “Geez, isn’t that great? What a great thing this celebrity is. Cuz in high school people I dated were saying ‘no we did not, absolutely not.'”
He reports that she was at the reunion, is a delight, and still has the same hairstyle she did in 1981.
In addition to the final caller of the night saying it’s his “homeboy’s twenty-oneth birthday” he also calls Adam and Drew goddesses. He, apparently, thinks this to be the plural of God.
Necrophilia call is beyond bogus…
Caller at 35:00 is fascinating, young girl that worked at her uncle’s morgue, seemed smarter and more cognizant than most callers
Adam is a lot cooler when he’s sick.
Adam: “What do you do?”
Caller: “I’m a clerical clerk.”
Drew: “A clerical clerk?”
Caller: “I do clerical work.”
Adam: “This is starting to sound like a Rogers and Hammerstein song.”
Above average episode. Adam is very peppy even though he’s sick. He gets along with the callers and even Anderson
Towards the end they all got it wrong – it was Angelica Bridges a year or two before who did all the cute voices on the show. (Loved her Lambchop – better than original imo)
Anderson wanted them to talk more to the “twenty-oneth” birthday guy, the last caller, but he hung up too quickly. Can only assume he wanted to try to get a drop.
01:10:46 Dr. Drew mentions just finishing a book called “Utter Hell” which will be available next (2003) April. Looks like it eventually turned into “Cracked: Putting Broken Lives Together Again.”
