Okay, there’s a lot going on in this episode! Classic Stryker episode, if there is such a thing. Esai comes off better than his previous episode, but has a few oddball comments.
Stryker talks about buying “Doggles” and a Fido floater for his wiener dog.
They talk briefly about Bad Boys (1983), La Bamba, and Esai’s other projects. He still has a little makeup on from NYPD Blue that day.
Esai chimes in with dubious nutrition advice (with terms like co-nutrients, or preservatives in cereal can delay one’s growth) throughout the episode.
At about 18 mins, 16-year caller who has a terrible diet and smokes two packs a day. Anderson grabs “I’m skinny as a pickle” drop.
They talk about Mark-Paul Gosselaar after the first break.
Esai talks about being involved with a 15-year-old when he was 12. Drew breaks the news that she was probably abused.
At about 27 mins, a girl calls in regarding her boyfriend leaving her for another guy after they have a threesome. They actually call the boyfriend about five minutes later but the whole thing comes off as highly bogus and Drew peppers them with questions trying to catch the lie (the boyfriend doesn’t even know the name of his new partner).
Drew asks Esai about Sept. 11. Esai laments Bill Maher being fired and goes off on America’s foreign policy. “No, not alright” drop by Anderson.
A guy calls in talking about dating a black girl. Drew doesn’t understand an “all white” community.
A guy talks about sleeping with an underage girl as a “party foul.”
At about 50 mins: Esai “think of Rosie O’Donnell”… he then says “I didn’t say that” — Anderson drops it in a couple times.
At about 57 mins a 19-year old calls in about them having a threesome with a 16-year-old.
Esai suggests that drinking milk with hormones would make a guy produce milk and Drew corrects him.
Anderson drops Adam Sandler “t-t-t-today junior” for maybe the first time?
Styker says he is sorry about a bobcat eating Drew’s cat — Drew at previously talked about fending off a bobcat, but I guess it got his cat?
At about 1:14 things get political again about Hollywood propaganda. Esai has some good points and then Drew tries to downplay mainstream media propaganda/jingoism, calls it a “conspiracy theory.” He says he is a correspondent for Good Morning America thus has insight to the journalism industry. Esai pushes back. Another (first time?) drop, Homer: “he he he I’m laughing, but it’s a laugh of impatience!”
At around 1:19 Matt is very high strung, everyone cheats on him. “I’m very good a manipulating people.”
Around 90 mins, Esai says his record is 12 times in one day.
