Here is a show where Adam's childhood friend Monty Messex is on as a guest. He is there pulgging youthexpressions.org. He's involved with the L.A. Childrens Hospital and has a masters in public health from UCLA. They talk about how they attended a free-range hippie school and they met and age 8.
There is a great story about the two of them when they were kids. Adam often mentions 2 or 3 of his FRIEND'S parents hit him when they were younger. Adam tells how they were in Monty's mom Roberta's station wagon and she was telling them to quiet down. Adam then proceeded to mock her by going "Yeah Monty!!" in an obnoxious voice. Mrs. Messex then turned around and slapped Adam. He goes into telling how the wind from an open window increased the strength of the hit. It's ironic because they were playing the game where you have to slap the other person's hands before they move them away. Adam doesn't even tell his mom because he felt he deserved it.
Adam used to raid the Messex's fridge. They also remember eating his Hungarian grandfather's goulash.
Drew's boys are going to play pop warner football in a couple weeks and wear their helmets around the house.
A caller suggests Adam's tooth problems are from eating Baby Ruth candy bars during the breaks even though he wasn't eating them prior to the last time he went to the dentist.
Adam remembers spelling the word girl as "gurl" on the board in school.
Drew forgets to put his pager on vibrate and it beeps during the show. It is Susan and then Drew says it's their 11th aniversery. He tells Adam to say happy aniversery. Adam then compares this to the time when Drew was yelling at his kids to thank Adam and how the yelling took away from the thank you.
Adam goes on a mini-rant about how American Express miles don't transfer to American Airlines even though they share the same name.
Adam brings up his toilet seat knob invention.
Drew had eaten garlic and has gas.
Adam complains about the a/c being broken and how it could be fixed for "$75 by some guy in a van."

Guest is Adam’s childhood friend, Monty Messex. He works for the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and is on the show to promote their website. Adam tells a funny story about being hit my Monty’s mom as a child. When Monty tells Adam that she now denies this, Adam is outraged. At 28:54, Brian calls in. At 23 he is still a virgin. He has had many relationships with women but gets bored by them before he can sleep with them. Drew wonders if he might have some sort of tumor while Adam thinks that he is a super nerd. Brian responds to Adam’s accusation with, “how dare you.” He then goes on to tell them that he is an Accountant and schedules his masturbation. Adam does a funny reenactment of Brian’s balls testifying in court. Monty leaves after the first hour and Drew then has gas.
Amusing religion call starts at 52:55- Rafael is 14 and is rebelling against his Catholic parents by becoming a Wiccan…
…”If God doesn’t condone violence then how come he kinda sided w/ David while he was slaying Goliath.”…
…Adam: “Rafael let me tell you, this Wiccan stuff, it’s for husky lesbians….and fat chicks that can’t get laid.”
At 0:29:02 is one of my favorites, Gay Caller Brian. He called many times in 2001-2002, often Mason Jar calls, often successful. Here he’s “playing” a straight guy. Either he doesn’t get a chance to deliver the punchline or he’s making a traditional bogus call (plausible but false story).
Interesting to hear Adam talk with one of his old childhood friends. This is a good show with a little bit of everything in it
Anderson is back, but no drops. 🙁 Adams makes reference to peeing in the sink and not bothering to move his toothbrush, which actually happened during the Man Show, 100 shots with Super Dave Osborne, which was taped recently..
Hmm, maybe Adam misspoke about Anderson being there. I think Ken is still filling in; sounds like Anderson is not back until the Offspring episode?
According to Monte’s LinkedIn he left Children’s hospital not long after this interview and became the Deputy Director
