It should also be noted that the very first shot in the opening sequence for Gentle Ben (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsaFjefpjJM) is of a fan-boat. Adam is never wrong.

Adam beats on Drew at the start..
The best part of this episode is when the pharmacist calls in about getting Drew to sign a waiver so he can give out the morning after pill without a previously held prescription then this exchange occurs at about 1hr20min:
Adam– Hey Vince, uh, what about Gentle Ben vs. Flipper? What do you know?
Caller Vince– Uh, I’d go with, uh, Flipper.
Adam– In a fair fight? In a street fight?
Caller Vince– Well…not in a street fight…
HA!!!
The most PUNCHABLE first caller in LL history!! I’ve never hit a woman, and I’m pretty sure it’s because I’ve never met this broad.
One of my favorite shows of all time, I feel like the Flipper “fanbelt” controversy gives this a classic arc for the entire night.
Adam is a real dick in this episode. He’s in some kinda mood. It’s not that he’s overtly an asshole to callers but he’s very confrontational and WILL NOT admit that he’s wrong about anything even when presented with evidence to the contrary. Normally he does this attitude as a joke–it’s his carefully cultivated personality–but it’s pretty clear from the way he’s acting tonight that it comes from some deep-seeded emotional nuttiness.
A huge portion of the show is dominated by Adam INSISTING that there is no fan boat in the TV show Flipper. Anderson, Drew, and numerous callers remember there being a fan boat, but Adam says it’s impossible because a fan boat is not used in the ocean, but in swamps, and that Flipper is a dolphin and dolphins don’t go in swamps.
Also, they take a call from a kid who says his gf slept with someone else and it just kind of sounds bogus from the get go. Adam puts him on hold and says “wait a minute.” Drew immediately says “I agree, could be bogus.” The call ends up being bogus (of the mason jar variety) and Drew says “we both got that right away.” Adam cuts him off to say that he was the only one who knew it was bogus and Drew though it was real since he asked him more questions about it. Drew says he was asking him a question he knew he couldn’t answer to trip him up, which is EXACTLY what happened. Adam disagrees. Later, Anderson replays the audio of the moment proving that Adam is being a dick and is wrong, and he STILL won’t admit it.
Then Anderson misspeaks and says there’s even a “fan belt” in the opening credits of Flipper. Adam jumps down everyone’s throat and says “stop calling it a fen belt, it’s a fan boat!” The only problem? He just called it a goddamn fan belt like ten minutes before this. Then he does it again ten minutes after that during a call where a guy tells them definitively that there was a fan boat that they used in the harbor in Flipper. Then just to put a cherry on the hypocrite pie, he calls it a fan belt again when they’re closing the show.
He’s just being a pouty little bitch about everything in this episode.
Second-to-last caller is a woman who just spent 7 years in prison for aggravated assault with a firearm. She has an 8-year-old daughter who lives with her former mother-in-law. They ask “why doesn’t she live with the father?” She says because he lost custody. How fucking bad a father do you have to be to lose custody to a woman who spent 7 of her daughter’s 8 years on this planet in prison?

Adam’s more right than Anderson, who insisted there was a fan boat in the opening credits. But there was at least one Flipper episode that had a fan boat (the plot revolved around it, and somehow Flipper followed them into the Everglades).

Adam has been such a whiny little bitch for the last few months. Any time Drew tries to chime in Adam bring the show to a screeching halt to berate Drew. If he says nothing Adam bring the show to a screeching halt to berate Drew.
Adam was in a bad mood the previous show but disagree about the last few months. He even seemed pretty jovial on the Gorillaz episode (despite complaining about them later).
