CLL #1684 (feat. The Love Between The Two Hosts)
03/13/2002 – Wednesday Night Show
Source – Lost Tapes (2021)
This episode is 100% complete with a huge audio upgrade. A camera crew from a local San Diego news affiliate are in studio recording the episode for a story on ecstasy use. Drew one ups himself when it comes to his coffee mug, not just a bump on the mic this time.

The comments from unclepenny refer to the 03-11-2002 show as far as I can tell.
Adam says that people who get rear ended in traffic at 2MPH but end up in traction should receive no compensation because they are flawed and cursed by God. Meanwhile there are guys who drive their motorcycles off an overpass and get up and walk away.
He says they need to come up with a standard by which we judge all humans and dole out compensation fairly. Drew suggests that it needs to be age-specific though because the elderly are more likely to be hurt. Adam says that shouldn’t factor in. Why should I have to pay because I rear ended some guy at 2MPH and his wrist breaks and he wets himself because he’s 104-years-old?
There’s a cameraman from a San Diego news affiliate in the studio filming Drew for a special they’re doing on ecstasy. Adam sometimes instructs the callers to repeat what they’ve said so that the camera gets some good material to air…”Now thank Dr. Drew for saving your life and say something about how you’ll never do ecstasy again.”
1:17:15 “good times”
“Go ahead and ignore those red arrows!” … love when the show starts out with a rant haha
36:05 Drew knocks over his mug spilling its contents on the console. Adam doesn’t let him forget about it haha
Adam’s role playing and acting coaching is one of my favorite parts of Loveline.
Rare – No drops (that I noticed) and no drop at the sign-off.. wonder if Anderson was gone or if they requested he not while the camera crew was there
