This episode is 100% complete with a huge audio quality upgrade. Dr. Bruce is breaking in the new year alongside Adam, this is one of Bruce's all time greatest appearances and he saved someone's life prior to arriving, what a good day for Doc B!

i almost like Dr. Bruce more than Dr.Drew because when Bruce is on, Adam always talks a bunch of shit about Drew 🙂
Interesting that Dr. Bruce “saved a life” (according to Adam) just before coming into the studio this night.
this is a great show. Great banter between adam and bruce.

I completely agree. Drew is great, but I like the relationship between Bruce and Adam. Adam gets to talk a bunch, and Bruce does his best to keep up. The episode about rave’s that Bruce attended is one of my favorites.
Hahah. “Loosen up? She should TIGHTEN up.”
I used to avoid shows with the second string doctors, but this is quality! I dig it.
DR. BRUCE is the best fill in doctor, all the others are boring except when adam tries to make fun of them.
if you want a quick selection of best shows but don’t want to do much research just grab the ones with DAG or Bruce, can’t go wrong.
Does encoding a radio quality tape that’s been sitting around for years at a higher bit rate improve quality at all?
Yeah it does improve the quality, seeing as how I have transferred the most tapes of the most varied sources I would know, you can also know if you simply listened, you one of these 32k mono crazies, if so hit the bricks.
Also I do believe this a CD sourced show, many pre-encoded mp3’s cut into 12 segments that I had to weave back into a single file, so these are as is 160 is your key there, I only use 96, 128 and 192 when applicable(board captured).
Wasn’t this taken from a CDR where it was recorded in 160kbps to begin with?
Gio beat me to comment….
Bruce’s story at the beginning is a great example of “good lenses bad frames.” He may be goofy and easily distracted on the show but he is definitely a real-deal doctor, and Adam even calls him a hero (albeit a gay American hero).
Love Dr spaz, my only complaint is how preachy he is. Hates when people smoke weed and digs at it, when opiates and “chronic pain” is the issue he doesn’t seem to have a problem. Little bible thumpy too.
Love the Ace Rockolla segment at the end where Dr. Bruce is trying to get the genital wart call picked up and Adam keeps going with the weather.
Last ten minutes or so are wasted on a lightening round – yawn….
