I really enjoy this episode. There are no moments that would earn hall-of-fame status, but it has an easygoing, amiable vibe. It goes down smooth.
Yeah really good show, lots of good calls and guests were pleasant
An hour in a lady calls in to say that her boyfriend likes to give her oral sex but doesn’t like to receive. Greg grunberg ask’s her if how long it takes her bf to finsish b/c he thinks that he might have a problem with premature e’s. He ask’s a couple times and every time she says that he ejaculates, then goes soft, then goes to sleep,
Then adam try’s to ask her how long it takes him to finish, and her response is: ” i dont know, sometimes he’s right there; usually he like gives me oral so that I can like get up there with him.”
Adam try’s to ask again after a little bashing of the caller, here’s how it goes:
Adam (speaking slowly now): “how long does it take him to ejaculate when you’re engaged in the sexual act?”
Caller” Ummm…………………………………………….(6 seconds of dead air)
Adam hangs up.
Amanda seems to be a fan of the show. She brings up Tim the Russian Rapper, the Drew Boogie, and Pennywise. She also has a cute laugh. Greg is quite funny at times, and they start the show talking about his former yogurt delivery service.
Drew: “You’re gonna drag the duke across your nuts”
Classic drop! It’s just a shame they didn’t incorporate it into a Dr. Drew musical production, or at least drop it in to the show here and there…
I would guess caller Erin at 0:42:54 is Coptic. Her bizarre “family pressure” stuff screams Muslim/Middle Eastern, but she says she belongs to “a Christian religion.” My Coptic guess allows me to shoe-horn the Middle East thing into the Christianity.
The date on this one is way off, because they’re talking about Pennywise’s previous visit to the show in which Fletch puked on Dr, Drew, and then they reference that Pennywise is going to come on the show again fairly soon. So this show should be dated before the poo-poo city show.
The date’s correct. There’s a discussion at 01:24:18 mentioning that Greg will be on 3 episodes of NYPD starting “tomorrow.” That episode aired May 8, 2001. But your point is taken, why does Drew refer to it (00:57:57) as Pennywise’s “last appearance?” Did they have collective amnesia with “poo poo city?”
Sounds an awful lot like “What if God Was One Of Us”, though without the vocals I can’t guess if it was Joan Osborne, Alanis, Meredith Brooks, or whoever.
I really loved this episode. Elements of everything that I love about loveline is present here. Amanda is definitely a fan of the show, she even mimics a drew drop. Greg is also really goes along great with the flow of the whole show
Like others have said this show is really smooth, guests immediately click with Adam and Drew and Drew is definitely more awake and alert than usual (esp in the 1st hour). Greg and Amanda also pick up immediately when Adam and Drew bet on a caller which is refreshing. I get why it would make guests uncomfortable to do that but the callers are still gonna get help so its not that immoral to make a game of someones misery.
Good guests. I wish more guest episodes were kind of like this.
