Show is dedicated to ecstasy
Wasn’t expecting much from this show considering it’s all about ecstasy but it’s actually pretty good. A doctor from USC (I think it’s USC) is also on the show answering questions and getting into medical technobabble conversations with Drew. Emanuel Sferios and Adam get snippy with each other at one point, it’s not bad.
Good show but Emanuel is a bit of a blowhard.
Agreed with others. Good show, but Emanuel is kind of slow on the uptake and a bit self-absorbed.
31:00 is Emanuel ticking Adam off with the “survivor” / “victim” language
Guest is insufferable. Apparently he resigned from DanceSafe later that year but Google isn’t telling me why. Now he’s a web designer and 9/11 Truther.
Adam references this show and the blowhard guest on the 5/20/2001 show. Particularly the conversation starting at the 29-minute mark where the guy corrects Adam about the fact that there aren’t rape “victims,” only rape “survivors.”
Emanuel Sferios is the worst guest I’ve ever heard in all my time listening to Loveline.
This random bullhorn-man for a minor drug awareness foundation is the only person I’ve ever heard of who was able to come on Loveline and run rings around both Adam and Drew. He’s entirely unlikeable, but he’s quicker than lightening. An interesting listen.
I don’t see what all the complaining is about. The guest wasn’t nearly as blowhardy as you’re led to believe by these comments. Its not like an actor is in praising his own body of work. This guy was hoping to prevent ecstacy users from further fucking themselves up. Should he have sat in the corner and remained silent?
This guy’s blowhard moment comes around the 33 minute mark, where he provides the flimsiest rationale for “studying” ecstasy I could imagine. Other than that, its interesting to hear Adam so restrained when being treated relatively disrespectfuly by a guest. Also, for those who make the “worst guest ever” claim, I have two words: janeane garofalo
*I meant 53, btw
He wasn’t that bad, but he’s definitely a libtard, saying he needs to “educate” Adam on his language. Adam only makes his living off talking – that’s not insulting..
Blah Blah Blah, bunch of doctor talk, Becomes an intellectual dick measuring contest. Not fun to listen to
Speak for yourself Minka. I liked it. I thought some of the disagreements between Drew and Emanuel were entertaining as hell.
Looking back on this in 2016 it’s interesting to hear how much more we know today as opposed to 15 years ago.
I love the Victim/Survivor jag around 31:00. So if rape victims are rape survivors to empower them, there is no such thing as a victim? Car crash survivor?! Adam is perturbed by the manipulative use of language and being a Truth seeker himself this is a trend. The B.S. alarm goes off for him. I wonder if language like this really helps folks. The shole handicapped/disabled mentally challenged/retarded thing.
00:30:52 Adam … introduced the show tonight with a joke about rape.
Cross addicted, what is that, some kind of religious nut?
