Cold Start, No intro. Drew and Adam are discussing that tomorrow’s show will be taking place at the TV and Radio Museum (Classic Show). This episode contains many of the aspects of one of the classic shows… Great Calls, Adam talking about high school, Adam talking about sharing a bed with the Weeze and why poor people should not live together. All and all a good episode.
I think this is the origin of the “everybody listen to me” drop
Adam talks about throwing stuff at cars as a kid.
One time a friend and him got up on the roof of a 7-11, which all have parapet roofs, which are good for ducking. Got up there with a trashcan full of water balloons and just chucked ’em at cars all night long. They almost made a guy in a Honda get in an accident so he dragged them off the roof and called the cops. This was one of the early times in Adam’s life that he learned to detect bullshit. The cop comes and says “it don’t make a difference if you’re throwing a water balloon or a hand grenade! It is a felony. Same crime.” And now I’m thinking ‘geez I’m 13 and I don’t know the law, but I bet you there’s some difference.
Halloween talk, candy, using what you learn in school in everyday life rant, some talk about snakes/alligators coming thru the toilet
.
“When I was 17, I was so in love with masturbation, I didn’t have time for drugs.”
“If you can get a zit on your forehead, you get can one on your nuts.”
Caller Kamal @ 1:16:18 hilarious. Good show.
“They don’t sell you a skateboard unless you’re stoned”
Halloween episode. Couple Halloween stories. It’s weird I got done using the bathroom during snakes through the toilet talk. Adam tells a hilarious story about that during mid 1 hour-teens. Lots of good stories and all around solid yo
Also Adam & Anderson agree that hey man nice shot by filter sounds exactly the same as some good smack song/bumper and gravity kills, which I disagree with because hey man nice shot is obvs one of the coolest guitar riffs ever
Stuart Zechman (the guitarist who wrote Hey Man Nice Shot) was also the guitarist in Stabbing Westward, so the chorus on the Ungod title track is the same.
No laugh-out-loud moments but a solid episode without a doubt. Great calls.
I respectfully disagree with the below comment. I was laughing hysterically in my car at several points while listening to this one.
Had all the makings of a solid episode.
0:10:44 Adam drop “Kiss my ass, you idiots!”
GLL #1328 has another few minutes of the intro patched. Adam talks about his mom forcing him to hand out walnuts and mini boxes of raisins on Halloween.
