Nice bogus sniff out at 41 min.
This was during the Commercial Actors Strike of 2000, Adam drops an R-bomb on actors, hardcore rant, starting ~0:22:30, wow lol, good one.
This show had decent moments. Drews kinda Ill. The actors rant, where Anderson jumped in and Adam admits to hating 99% of guest actors. Anderson also jumps in at the end and talks about his all black days during extended goth talk. Some unpopular points made were probably slightly true but Adam wasnt to pc about talking to a chick who had thoughts of murder which could’ve actually been pretty sketchy if she did snap. Early Drew just sat there but I think modern drew would’ve said something along the lines of the popular media opinion on this topic. But yea overall mediocre show compared to the last 1
Adam disagrees with the Commercial Actors Strike that’s currently (in 2000) taking place. He doesn’t believe the actors should expect residuals every time a commercial airs, but rather just accept their flat rate payment for the work they did in the commercial that one day.
He equates it to him building a deck in the backyard of somebody’s house. He figures what one day of work should cost and that’s what he charges. He doesn’t expect a check in the mail every time the homeowner throws a barbeque.
The only problem with his analogy is the homeowner doesn’t make money every time he throws a barbeque like the people who run the add do whenever they air that actor’s work. A more fitting analogy would be Adam doesn’t expect a portion of the money the homeowner ends up making when he sells the house, just because the addition of a deck raised the property value.
Enjoyed Anderson jumping in about the goth thing. Adam and drew sorta pounce on him but it’s still nice to hear a contrary take.
I’m going to name my son Lotteray
