eminem calls in about half way throuigh the show
Nothing like wasting on air-time by talking about wasting on-air time.
Eminem calls in at 45:30
Wow. Shannon at around 1:12:00 is the epitome of all that’s wrong with this country. This starts and ends with amazing rants.
At about 52:00, Adam shows he doesn’t know that Catholics are a type of Christians :/
Well, I’m no expert, but there are many differences between Catholics and other Christians. It doesn’t sound to me like Adam was too confused or anything. To me, calling a Catholic a Christian would be a misnomer.
@503knowledge:
Catholics are Christians, one of the oldest sects of Christianity, Catholic means “universal.” Catholic began to associated solely with the church in Rome after the East-West split, although Eastern Orthodox also regard themselves as “Catholic,” in practice they are refereed to as Orthodox (meaning true, right). Since under the Roman Empire there was only one form of Christianity allowed, Roman Orthodox, or the Catholic (Universal) Church.
What many people. erroneously, refer to as “Christianity” is Protestantism, a mistake I have never understood (but not surprising, as I’ve met so many Christians who don’t even know the basics of Christianity). Protestantism, like Catholicism, and Eastern Orthodox, and any other sect that believes Jesus is Christ and follow his teachings are “Christians.” I suspect the mistake has it’s roots in Protestantism being the dominant faith in America, and therefore Americans referring to the different forms of Protestantism as “Christian” and then referring to the other denominations by different names.
tl;dr: Catholics are Christians, you are thinking of “Protestants,” head on over to Wikipedia.
~45 min in, Drew reveals they were an answer to a Jeopardy question. Probably the first time (but not last time) Ace was a Jeopardy question.
Great classic rant by Adam about people having too many kids at around an hour and 10 min. Good stuff.
underrated episode
