Not a new show, the date was off by one month and is correct now.
Decent show. Adam fairly commonly would call the Violent Femmes a-hole guests, but they seem reasonable in this episode.
As guests they’re not that bad but they’re not great, either. One guy basically says nothing and the other alternates between seeming affable and answering questions as though they’re stupid and obvious. At least they leave at the halfway mark.
bibs fo’ life
not surprising that their appearance is about as interesting and entertaining as their music.
one of these one hit wonder bands that believe they’re too good to laugh at Adams genius.
brian from vf was interviewed not too long after this about being called slugs and not talking on loveline and he was surprised because he tried to be engaging even though he didn’t know the show was going to get this deep.
i don’t know why adam had so much hate for them and it’s a shame he would continue to talk so bad about them for the remainder of his time with the show. karma caught up with him though, and that’s a shame too.
Ill be honest I thought I always hated these guys because i hated blister from the sun, but I didn’t know they made the gone daddy gone xylophone song, that’s a dope one.
Honestly I don’t get the h8, they were pretty nice and you could hear them laughing in the background, and maybe like 1 or 2 answers sounded smart but I think they were just being funny and everyone missed it. Or maybe in another ep they’re worse
They are not one hit wonders. They are a pretty awesome alternative band with many good songs.
