great with the guests but as soon as they leave it gets worse
Trey & Matt stay for half the show.
Matt & Trey are kind of annoying at the beginning – constantly plugging their movie – like they really needed the cash….. They discuss with Adam the ridiculous conversations they have in order to get some of their show material cleared with Comedy Central. Dr. Bruce is a MESS in the second hour. It is hysterical – he totally breaks down and Adam rails into him. It goes to show how Drew gave advice in such a concise and passionate manner (at least he used to).
Adam totally misses a bogus call around 1 hr, 12 minutes. Even Bruce calls it as bogus. Also, the caller and Adam say “nigger” on air without being censored, which I’ve never heard before on Loveline. A “fuck” slips in there without being dropped as well.
Is Bruce Drunk?
I’ve heard the N-word on other episodes; Anderson expresses his disapproval–and even saves it as a drop to make Adam look bad–but doesn’t actually censor it. Apparently you can say the N-word on talk radio, but not on music stations. That said, Dr. Laura got taken off the air recently for saying it, even though she was talking about the word itself, not just throwing it around.
And yet (at least in the Anderson era) saying “piss” was a no-no and was always dumped out. This is just another example of the bizarre censorship rules in radio.
Bruce seems like he’s on something in this. 500 times more spazzy than usual.
Exactly what i did, bought a ticket for Wild Wild West and snuck into South Park
Ha ha, I bought my ticket for “Phantom Menace” and snuck into the South Park movie
Their last appearance but not as great as their first. I think Bruce’s spazziess can be credited to him not being entirely sure of how to answer the calls and you can tell he has rather broad answers. I’ve heard the n word said a few times like when Adam was telling that story of how he used to call his friends that when he was 12 or something because they were doing it
Don’t see why people think the last appearance is better. They seemed like they didn’t want to be there and were obviously stoned the whole time. This one they really roll with Adams jokes and seem much nicer in general. Plus there’s a lot of Bruce teasing so that always makes a great show. At least that’s my opinion.
They mention that Dr. Bruce is skinny in this episode so I looked up a picture of him and it’s true. He’s real skinny, but it’s weird because he kind of has the voice of a portly man. At least, that’s how I always pictured him.
Wacky tarot card chick that calls for the second time near the end of the show – she got plowed by two dudes at once and doesn’t know how to tell her boyfriend she doesn’t like it.
