They reference this trip in many other episodes bc Adam got a thrill out of the irony of a doctor getting sick. It’s also a Valentine’s Day episode and Drew’s wife Susan calls in. She doesn’t sound like the crazy b that Adam makes her out to be and oddly is also quite tickled that Drew is sick. Adam warns her not to expect any loving the following night in honor of V-Day because “his fluids are low enough as it is.”
Hilarious show. Adam with a great riff on Drew’s conversations with Susan at the middle of the show, and their driver from Philly, “Ronnie”.
Drew’s wife sounds younger than I would think- (it is 1999 after all)- but more importantly, she sounds hot.
Also an usual amount of caller-critiques this episode.
Drew praises University of Maryland
Crazy broad around 56 mins.
Drew’s sick but there is great chemistry between Adam and Drew. great to hear Drew laughing out loud several times. Susan gives off weird energy as per usual.
I have never heard so many f’d up callers in one show.
Definitely one show you cannot miss out on, within minutes Adam is yelling at the callers, haha lots of screwed up and nutball callers. 5/5!
I accidentally figured out the best way to utilize this website. I started listening to all the 2002 “no guest” episodes and listened all the way through to the end when Adam leaves.
Then I went back to Adam’s first show and am listening all the way through until I reach the 2002 episodes again.
What I’m realizing is it’s kind of like the Star Wars movies. You start at Episode IV through VI, then the prequels came out to complete what you’d missed.
Hearing the guys retell their classic stories (like the one in this episode about Drew being ill in the back of a Buick while Adam sat up front with Ronnie the driver talking about nothing but food) and then finding the episode where the story is first told because it has just happened is great.
It’s the only way to listen to this show and I highly recommend it. Middle>>End>>Beginning>>Middle.
I agree, Landlubber! I was coerced into doing exactly that because these early shows simply didn’t exist in any significant amount online when I started listening, and going back to the genesis years later is an absolute joy.
Definitely one of the best. Lots of losers call and lot of funny moments. “Hope my hotel has a VCR… I’d hate to crack this thing open and hold it up to the light.” And drews wife did sound hotter haha
Anyone know what the song is that starts at 47:14?
0:24:36 Susan, Drew’s wife, calls in. And you know what? She sounds hot. Maybe because she sounds a little crazy.
Heavy, loud, painful breathing from Drew the whole episode. Poor guy.
How the fuck does Adam think it’s “ValenTIME’s” day? What foreign country did he grow up in?
Sick Drew, Susan calls in, crazy/stupid callers. This was a great show.
Tons of toxic and crazy chicks calling in tonight
Great show
