Has a beef with Adam. Adam determines that he's a jerkoff who has called in before and and puts him on hold.

Nicole, F, 22
Says she's extremely bothered by her husband looking at Playboy and doesn't know why.

Drew and Adam are cranky but Jewel mediates and mellows them out.
She has a decent live voice. I know everyone has this moment and no one cares, but I had my “they didn’t handle the call well” moment during a sketchy call involving an abusive couple. Made me upset but why bother explaining lol. Jewel has kind of the try hard attitude idk how to describe it.
Pepper spray shenanigans by a caller is worth a listen. Could care less for the live performances.
This episode is very underrated IMO. The pepper spray call was legendary, Adam’s comments were hilarious, Jewel was a great guest, and the song and story behind it were both pretty touching.
Boy howdy this show turned into jerry springer. That one call basically took over 30 minutes to finish but it was worth it.
This is the Jewel that meant a lot to depressed, suicidal, and lonely people that fit a certain category of outcast in the late 90’s . People like me who were so disappointed in the “Intuition let’s sell some razors” sell out album. Idk why she did that but I stopped listening immediately, feeling like she basically said “screw your feelings and my own, I need money” and that crap song is all that plays of her anymore. I had the book of poems too, she’s right people underestimate how just a little effect they have on someone can make or break a life. The old albums will always be dear to my heart though. She represents a dying quality in people before the Second Depression of the ’00’s

First call is a phony call, but people seem to really like them.
