Solid episode, very cool that they booked Stewart Copeland as a guest – love hearing the Police stories.
Show starts off with an excellent interview with Copeland, and turns into intense show show with a series of extremely heavy calls.
Drew and Adam are really tuned in and alert in this show, I think catalyzed by Copeland’s presence.
Good episode.
Copeland is an excellent guest.
Love the moment of realization Copeland has early in the show when Drew & Ace sniff out past abuse in a caller. A lot of guests shit on that superpower, but he sounds genuinely impressed.
Last segment has bad audio quality
Copeland not bad. A little full of himself lol. Not many hilarious calls indeed
Does anyone know the name of the song the play in the outro?
Hey Broham, the title is “Singing in my Sleep” by Semisonic.
I am from the future. Peruvian caller Lorenzo, who calls in at 42 minutes to talk to Stewart will call the show again five years later on 11/30/03 and reference this call before bitching at Adam for claiming that sexual abuse of children is more prevalent in Latin cultures, a comment Adam makes during this call and apparently sticks in Lorenzo’s brain for 5 years before he can confront Adam on it. His accent will not have improved one bit.
Maybe a legend, but also a blooooowhaaarrrrd – he’s always throwing speedbumps into Adam’s momentum… I hate when guest does that, let Adam talk!! Ha Kind of annoying show!
an intelligent, involved guest, and some of the dumbest, most contemptible guests i’ve ever heard make this a favorite show of mine
*contemptible callers
Copeland is one of those great one-time guests.
