Show Summary:
This is a great classic show. This is full version of a show titled "Sloppy Joe Night" that was about 23 minutes long. It's called Sloppy Joe Night because of a caller near the end of the show.
The show starts with Adam sounding a bit out of it. Drew has to remind him they're starting. Adam seemed out of it because his headphones weren't working. He blames this on Tom Leykis who just put a giant poster of himself on the wall of the studio.
Adam got there 5 minutes early and grabbed an email to read on the air. A girl says she just watched the TV show for the first time and insults Adam for not being as good looking as she imagined. She then goes on to talk about how much she like Dr. Drew. She ends the letter by accusing Adam of molesting his new puppy.
Adam was watching Fox's When Animals Attack 3 and asks why they use good looking models to reenact the trappers getting mauled by bears.
When they ask a girl who was raped a couple years ago if the guy used a weapon she says "kinda." She then says he pulled a knife on her.
When Drew asks why the tattoo business is dying out Adam blames it on kids feeling stupid when they call the show and talk about their tattoos so he can make fun of them.
Drew says the MTV people have finally learned that Adam is never late for the TV show even if he shows up at the last minute.
Adam wants neglected kids to be raised on Jr. Fantasy Island with Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad.
Apparently Catherine Bach was supposed to be the guest but her child was sick so she had to stay home. Adam says he saw her once at a premiere party. He almost got alcohol poisoning that night. He also parked next to a cop car and had to hide in his car for about 3 hours. The Weeze was with him and picked a baco-bit off her dress.
Apparently the Weeze was in the studio the night before. Drew asks if he had put on weight. Adam then has to yell at Drew for asking the question "Have you put on weight?" to everyone he sees. Drew doesn't understand why this is inappropriate.
A caller says he met a girl on the TV show. Drew recognizes the voice and even remembers where he was standing and what the question he asked was. All this is just from the guy's voice.
A girl mentions she is going to a junior college in Anaheim but doesn't want to say the name of it. Drew is able to immediately figure out the name though.
When it's time to gamble on a caller Producer Ann says she wants in and puts in a dollar bet.
A stoner who gets caught by his mom on a nightly basis says he just bought a 4 foot bong. Adam talks about his friend Doug who made a novelty sized bong out of PVC piping that would have to be stuck out the door because it was so long.
Adam talks about the outing he had with engineer Mike where he got very drunk after taking his anti-biotic medicine. This is the story that is told in the "Doggy Night" show.
Going into the next break, Adam goes to talk to a girl named Lisa. She sounds very flustered and says she just made herself a snack, a sloppy joe.
She also claims to be a psychic. Adam and Drew then go on to talk about sloppy joes for the next few minutes. They go back to Lisa a few times and she reads Adam his fortune, having him pick cards and trying to get him to call her back off the air. When Adam tells her how to spell Carolla, she cannot spell it and fails to get it right a few times before spelling it correctly. The girl from the "dance class call" calls in and tells how her teacher made fun of her. She also admits to eating sloppy joes on a regular basis. Later, a guy calls in and insists that he has memories before the age of 11 but none after then. Also sometime in the show adamanddrew.com is mentioned. (this is back before the url was changed to
adamdrew.com).

I agree with SMDB, definately heard the 1st hour of this show earlier.
Some crazy chick Lisa calls and gives Adam a Tarot card reading. Her readings are actually pretty correct and Drew laughs at their accuracy. She gives him a partial reading and then tells the guys to get her number off the air so they can call for a full reading. Lol.
I wonder if this is how that always works. They give you a “free reading” where they say a bunch of generic shit that probably applies to everyone, just enough to get you on the hook. Then they tell you to cough up some cash for the “full reading.”
Wow, I’ve made a great find. Corey, at 0:47:32, would go on to call more than six years later, on 2005-06-07. Apparently he attended law school in the interim, because on the 2005 show he offers to represent a caller who got a ticket for running a red arrow.
I hope the ballerina girl ended up ok. Sounds real mature for her age

Weird to hear Drew and Adam talking about the lunchrooms in grade school, and it still is much the same today. Or at least it was exactly the same when I attended grade school, around 15 years ago.
