Gotta be one of the best calls ever. I love how they devote almost the entire show to it. Also like it when a caller rips Adam and Drew at around 1:03. Doesn’t happen very often.

I agree wholeheartedly. Even though she doesn’t do the whole “sexy voice” thing, Producer Ann _sounds_ extremely hot.

Fuck this website for not working at all on mobile phones. Get rid of that pointless captcha that pops up before each download. That download button should be a direct link to the mp3 so anyone anywhere can access it.
Relax Elliot. The people that run this site have taken lots of time to collect, edit, and host these files. They do it for free, and refuse any donation. They recently had to add the captcha system because people were using scripts to automatically download so many episodes that it slowed the server down for everyone. Be thankful for what we have, which is a great site where we can enjoy Loveline.
Reminds me of that Mr. Hands dude who died after taking a horse penis up the ass, which pierced his colon. I originally thought this caller was fake, and that he had been inspired by the story of Mr. Hands, because a lot of the details he gives match up with the backstory of Mr. Hands and how he met up with other zoosexuals over the internet, but then I saw that Mr. Hands died in 2005 and this is from 1998. So this has a very good chance of being true.
I don’t think there’s any chance it was a bogus call. The way he creeped out Adam, Drew, Producer Ann, Phone Screener Sherry, several other callers–you can’t fake that.

The guy sounds exactly like James. Also, one of the guys in the “CreamTeam” called into Adam’s tv show (you can find the video on his channel), which leads me to believe this was all staged.

That doesn’t sound like James (and I’m really good at recognizing voices). And I have no idea how old these Cream Team guys are, but this show was over 14 years ago. Most important, a bogus caller–unless he was the greatest Method actor–couldn’t hang in for 20+ minutes AND give everyone the creeps the way James did.
There’s just no way this was a prank call by some Internet jack-offs.

I’ve heard this episode 3 times and it’s still hilarious and fascinating. Adam just takes the whole zoosexual concept and runs with it the whole episode.
I really dug how Adam posed the question of choice between your pet or your child. I don’t see why some had a hard time with that thought. Of course both are disgusting, but you can’t choose which one would be worse? Please.

I’m surprised that Drew didn’t ask if the dog was abused as a puppy.

Adam rails off hilarious one-liners one after another for the entire night because of James the Zoosexual. One of the best, if not the best, Loveline episode of all time.
this is arguably the best non-guest episode of loveline, it perfectly encapsulates drew and adams dichotomy as hosts, with drew’s bemused academic working perfectly with adam’s wiseass remarks and opinionated statements regarding James the zoophile and the various caller/producer reactions to james. hilarious.
Good fun with a crazy person, highly recommended.
Very good and interesting episode. The zoo sexual seems very out of touch with reality and is almost confused by the callers explanation as to why they are so repulsed by his behavior. Drew and Adam are honest and not judgmental at all which is the road i would have taken. They wouldn’t have gotten anywhere with the call if they didn’t. There is no way James was a prank caller, most bogus callers are idiots he’s clearly not intelligent and deranged.
Certainly worth a listen Sherri, Ann, and the crazy motorcycling vegan are terrible at articulating their arguments yet clearly angry and passionate.

Frickin’ awesome episode, I remember hearing this live (when I was 15), and enjoying it quite thoroughly. hehe.
However…ugh, Ann. We GET IT, Ann. Banging dogs is bad. We’re all quite aware of it. But can you butt out and let the guys do a radio show?

I mostly listen to episodes with no guest…I find that the guests usually detract from what attracted me to loveline in the first place: the impeccable chemistry between adam and drew
the only downside of this episode is producer anne’s constant interruptions…she is clearly very passionate about animal rights or whatever but she needs to stfu and let adam and drew do their thing…no one cares what she thinks…her opinion is just an emotionally charged reaction void of logic
Zoosexual is bizarre, and I’m not defending it, but Producer Ann and screener Sheri (and Ms. Vegan caller) instantly turned this into a “men are pigs” thing. I’m surprised no one proposed the scenario of “what if it were a woman zoosexual having relations with her dog?” If that were the case, I doubt Ann & Sheri would have reacted so strongly. That would have exposed a glaring double-standard.
I didn’t get to listen to this one until long after it aired, sometime in 06 or 07 but man was it worth the wait. I wish drew could have drawn some better conclusions about james but the ire this call roused in the callers and the peanut gallery was absolutely priceless.

I’m pretty certain James was totally bogus because I was listening to another episode where the caller sounded exactly like James and again it was another outlandish story about being raised in a nudist camp. I was surprised that Drew didn’t pick up on the fact that that caller sounded just like James since usually Drew recognizes voices. I can’t remember the episode but if I come across it again I’ll notate it here in the comments.
