Show Summary:
Dr. Marcel is in for Drew, and Adam seems eager to grill him about plastic surgery, but decides to discuss last night's guest Motley Crue. Apparently Tommy let him drive his very expensive Ferrari, about which Tommy knew nothing (not even the year).
Ric Ocasek is promoting his album "Troublizing." Adam gushes over The Cars, and discusses them with Ric as well as Ric's solo work and various acts that Ric has does producing work for (Iggy Pop is insane, are Weezer assholes or not, Bad Religion are smart guys, etc.).
Caller Roman (18) asks Ric about the Smashing Pumpkins cover of his song and working with Billy Corgan.
Caller Michelle (14) is 1 week pregnant and her boyfriend is bisexual. She's also a drug user, and her father won't support her child. Adam grills her about her family and explains her predilection to chaos because of them, then advises her to either give it up for adoption or abort it, then work on herself in counseling.
Caller Stephanie (15) wants a breast reduction. Adam has Marcel explain the "ins and outs" of breasts and breast reduction. Adam rails against labeling men pigs because they enjoy breasts but not because they like legs or eyes or any other physical attributes. Ric Okasek says that he thinks people shouldn't change their bodies, just take care of what they have, and Adam wants to mediate a debate between a rock star and a plastic surgeon after the break.
Coming back from the break, Adam puts off the debate so he can ask about a Cars reunion. Ric talks about what the other members are up to, and Adam muses about how they made so much money off The Cars that they can afford to just sit around and build furniture. They move on to discuss songwriting, publishing rights, and models in music videos.
Caller Adrienne (16) wants to know whether having crushes on older guys (Mickey Dolenz from the Monkees) makes her perverted. Adam is baffled by the fact that she even knows who he is. Adam manages to figure out that Adrienne is escaping into a fantasy of being with Mickey because boys her own age won't date her, and tells her she's fine, but to date boys her own age and let go of the Mickey fantasy a little.
Before the break, Adam makes Marcel sell a caller Cheri (22) whose boyfriend can't get her off during oral sex, but when they come back they play "Hang on Tight" from Ric's new album instead, and then Adam grills Ric about his posture (apparently he sits oddly) before they take another break.
They take Cheri's call as the last before Ric has to leave due to a morning appearance the next morning. Adam is going to be there as well, and asks Ric if he will hug Adam in front of everybody when he shows up.
Caller Michelle (27) is getting a breast enlargement next week and asks if the size she picked out is okay. Adam asks about the silicone implant scare, then rants about how people who do dangerous things like breast implants or skydiving shouldn't be able to sue when they get hurt unless there's gross negligence involved. He then asks Marcel all about the different kinds of implants and the implant process.
Just before break Adam remembers he has a dentist appointment the next day and rants about how dentistry progresses so slowly, especially compared to plastic surgery.
Returning from break, Adam comments that anytime your hourly wage includes change, you're not doing very well, then goes on to talk about how many doctors are uptight and boring because their jobs are their life, but Marcel acts like a rock star and hasn't forgotten how to have fun.
Caller [name cut off] (18) has a pen-pal boyfriend who's got a fiancé. They tell her to get away, but she won't listen because she wants to be friends (read: she still has a thing for him).
After the break Adam rants about Drew and how he runs himself ragged and then takes a lot of amazing vacations, instead of relaxing more in general and taking vacations less frequently. Adam then tells a story about how when the TV show went on hiatus he had to clean out his dressing room and the producers were unhappy because they found out he had been napping between shows (he was taking his pillow home and they ran into him).
Caller Brett (17) wants help because his girlfriend won't let him go down on her. This being a recent development, he's upset. Adam boils it down to intimacy issues pretty quickly.
They return from break with some discussion about Bobcat Goldthwait and how he hates it when Adam has people guess Bobcat's age on air.

Note: Marcel is the host for this one, not Drew.
Sorry, delete both of these comments. Wrong episode.
Rick Ocasek is a pretty good guest, a little quiet though.
Rick seems like a nice guy. Interesting stories and good interaction with Adam.
i think this show is mislabeled cuz ace said that the night before motley crue was in. or the previous show is.
hmm interesting. This tape was a board capture from Dr. Marcel’s archive so I’m 99% sure on the date since it was given to him from KROQ. Maybe the 1997-07-29 is wrong. I’ll look into it, thanks.
Marcel and Ocasek have very similar voices, so sometimes it’s hard to tell who is making a comment if it’s not directly about medicine or The Cars.
