iggy is pretty engaged, and not at all what i expected.
Newly added .mp3!
I think the date of this episode needs to be switched with the previous Suicidal Tendencies episode. In this episode, when Dr. Drew mentions pearly penile papules, Adam seems to have never heard of it before, and then calls them carbuncles. This is referenced in the Suicidal Tendencies episode.
So you think this show and the 1/22/1996 show should be swapped?
Yup, this ep should be swapped with previous episode.
This is best of from 1995, it aired on January 23rd 1996, explaining the confusion surrounding the PPP.
Best of CLL #52 which was recorded and originally aired on 12/11/1995
New file, no intro, no ads. Definitive Edition.
It sorta sounds like Adam; but not really.. it sounds like someone else “doing the voice” of Adam in this episode.. dose the pitch need to be dropped? Well, I am guessing it’s him as Dr. Drew is adressing him as Adam & Adam is still calling Dr. Drew “Doc” & I have only heard that in 1995… back when I was alive..:D
We’ve experimented with pitch shifting fan recordings but these are board captured VHS, they don’t degrade the same as cassettes. They get a “popping” static from dust and damage. Adam sounded different early into his run, faster, higher pitched. Drew had a higher pitched softer register too. Engineer Mike doing the preshow countdown sounds correct to his voice, you could make them deeper but it’s not how it originally aired. This is early fired out of a cannon “nervous” Adam.
Awesome! I wondered about that & I checked against the music used in the show (Iggy’s number) online in a couple places & it’s spot-on, plus Adam’s voice sounds consistent with other shows from this same week… Just heard the following night’s show (found on the “best of” edition of 01/24 1996)….”Totin’ The Mocha”… “board captures” are the best !! Am I correct in thinking these may be the earliest “Drew & Adam Only” shows we have??
