guests laugh at all adams jokes, which is always good.
couple weird calls.
I typically find guests laughing Adam funny, but in this case, I imagined Adam not caring about those guests. The laughing got annoying after a while.

There are a couple of good bizarre/deviant calls, but on the whole this episode is a little disappointing. No-guest shows are OK when one of the hosts is broadcasting from out of town, but it’s SO bumpy and awkward when there’s a guest (times 3 in this case). The remote host has to say things like “Who’s that?” and the in-studio host has to prompt the other one to chime in (since non-verbal cues are obviously out).
Ron Lester is possibly the most annoying/obnoxious guest of all time. I never write reviews, but for this one I felt compelled. Adam would likely admit he was off his “A” game, nursing a cold that is worse than the previous night, but you wouldn’t know it from Lester’s reaction. Every comment elicits not only a “haha” but a concluding “ahAHAHHAHAHA” that’s louder in the mix than any voice I’ve heard in the history of talk radio.
Guests laughing at Adam’s jokes is good, but at every throwaway comment he makes? I swear to god, some of those weren’t even intended as jokes. Ron Lester even goes nuts at his own asinine “jokes” in the second half, giving the loudest reception in the show to his “Mary Anne birthed a coconut BAHHAHAHAHAH,” line that was met with complete silence from the rest of the room.
Literally wanted to tear my hair out the entire show. This show made me realize that I must be masochistic.
This may be the worst episode I’ve listened to here, and I’ve listened to hundreds… Ron’s laugh is so obnoxious. I wanted to add, however, that @34:24 when the caller talks about crapping in hookers and Adam gets skeptical when he talks about picking them up on Harry Hines Blvd, that Dallas residents commonly joke about that area. Harry Hines Blvd is indeed the name of the street that the super trashy whores hang out like you see in the documentaries. I still think the caller was BS.
This episode is even worse on the second listen. Ron Lester has to be the worst guest that Adam and Drew inexplicably like. He’s that annoying guy who finally gets a girlfriend after years of deprivation and can’t stop broadcasting it to the world.
At least it’s one of those “before they were stars” episodes, which are usually interesting, but Chris Evans doesn’t say all that much.
I’m amazed at how irritating Ron Lester is. The other commenters are actually being polite in their assessments.

One crazy possibly fake call. The guest is obnoxious but, I’ve heard much worse. Mediocre show.

If you can manage to get to the Gilligan’s Island “jokes”… wow that was painfully unfunny.
