Amazing time capsule of the day, but extremely painful to listen to. I've listened to this ep several times and always come out feeling emotionally drained.

This episode gave me chills. I survived 9/11 and was there when it all went down. It's interesting to listen to this and get to hear what it was like for those that weren't there.

I didn't realize just how in the same page everyone was, being in my own state of confusion and mostly shock. Hearing this today was uplifting and has helped me with my usual 9/11 blues.

I love that Adam acts as if this show wasn't on 9/11 and it's just an other day at loveline

Harry, it's not like they didn't care, it's just most people (from my experience) felt almost surreal about this. I lived 20 min from Lower Manhattan (freshman in college moved in on 09.01) and my Dad worked 2 blocks away (he was fine but I didn't know until that night due to cells out). We went out drinking at a huge party that night, and my univ of 50,000 was largely up to the same even though you could see the smoke. It wasn't until the following weeks when things kinda set in as weird as that sounds. Either way great show by the guys.

I was 16 on 9/11 and I remember tuning into Loveline that night and being soothed by this show. Eerie but enjoyable to listen to it all these years later. 5/5

All the people on this show who called in below the age of 17 are not suffering from PTSD, they don't understand enough to care, they just wanted to call in. just sayin

A few things struck me about this episode.

1. When it first started playing, my heart sank sue to the sound quality. Fortunately after a few minutes the quality improves and it's much easier to listen to.

2. The jovial tone of both Drew and Adam. I realize they were both in shock and I'm sure this was their way of dealing with it, but after 10 years of healing, it's now strange to hear them joking that soon after the disaster. It seems to me the Columbine episode was considerably more somber than this one.

3. The relative accuracy of the information provided. With the exception of the initial body count speculation, we now know most of Drew's and Adam's initial reports to be fact, but as I remember it, it was days and weeks before much of the info talked about on this show was actually confirmed.

4. Adam's speculation that our retaliation would be swift and precise turned out to be less than accurate.

Listened to this one several times, great episode. You forget how you felt at the time and then you go back and listen to this, and it's fresh again. Same as the Columbine episode, 4-20-1999

Adam and Drew imagine 15,000-25,000 people are dead in the attacks, as did so many people at that time (I remember some people throwing around 50,000).
