This is the episode where a caller from NJ calls in and tells a story about a waitress that he works with forcing him to give her a rim job…hilarious.
Good show, Kevin Smith and his wife were pretty good guests.
The guy who rims out his co-worker is a really sketchy-sounding weirdo. He says he orgasmed just from licking her butt. He called because he says he feels like it’s kind of bizarre.
Adam: “Mark, listen to me, from here on out, anything you deem to be bizarre IS bizarre. You don’t have to bother to call the show anymore. Anymore bizarre encounters and rimjobs and spontaneous orgasms while your tongue is halfway up someone’s ass is bizarre and just be comfortable with that.”
Funny to hear Kevin Smith on with Adam considering their big feud from about a year or so ago. They were working on a project together that ends up falling apart. Adam gets screwed out of a bunch of money and thinks it’s Kevin’s fault, while Kevin maintains that it’s Adam who screwed himself over.
They snipe at each other on Twitter for a bit and talk about each other on their respective podcasts. Finally they agree to appear on each other’s podcasts to tell their side. They even come prepared with phone messages and transcripts of email conversations between the two of them. Even though it’s a bunch of petty back-and-forth, it’s really compelling to get an inside look at how projects in Hollywood come together and ultimately fall apart.
Once it’s all said and done, it appears Adam has a legit gripe against Kevin, though he himself could’ve done a better job of communicating throughout the whole ordeal.
When I try to get the episode to play on the website for Adam’s podcast, it doesn’t want to play. But Youtube has the entire confrontation. Just search for “Kevin Smith vs. Adam Carolla: The Face Off.” It’s fun stuff. Kevin keeps trying to kiss Adam’s ass and go off on little side-rambling that has little to do with anything, and Adam has to tell him to stop and just stick to the point. Adam lays the ENTIRE thing out chronologically so there can be no room for bullshit.
Kevin smith sounds like a smug dick
Rather disappointingly uninteresting and unfunny character that Smith. And him and his “baby” calling each other “baby” the whole time is fucking cringeworthy.
Idk there’s something about Kevin Smith that rubs me the wrong way
