Ah yes, the Pan Pan saga. It really is a fantastic story that ends up involving Adam, Drew, Drew’s wife, Jimmy Kimmel, and an overzealous knife salesman who almost gets a big sale, but pushes his luck and ends up getting lambasted by two celebrities on the radio. It doesn’t all happen in this episode, but the situation begins tonight.

Pan Pan calls in and chats with the guys. Drew cracks the hell up when Pan Pan says that he told Adam he would meet him at the radio station early before the show to give his pitch and Adam told him “no, two or three minutes before the show should be fine.” Adam reiterates that he basically pulls into the parking lot one minute before the show starts every night.

Adam has a slip of the tongue around the 1 hour and 4 minute mark so Anderson plays the “You can’t arcktic, you can’t articulate yourself enough” drop. I’ve noticed that every time Anderson uses that drop, Adam has a visceral reaction to it. He always makes a little noise of discomfort or self-consciously laughs at it. In tonight’s case he says “I bet Anderson goes home and plays that on a loop until he falls asleep in his one-bedroom apartment…..” but Anderson cuts him off with the “because the world is your oyster, and that’s all the world is” drop that Adam also hates. These are two drops that Adam ALWAYS reacts negatively to and tries to distance himself from. He always makes it a point to tell the listeners that he wasn’t being serious when he said the world is your oyster. Anderson contends that he was being totally serious.

The only drop Drew is really uncomfortable with is when they talk about Asians and Anderson plays that guy doing a really exaggerated stereotypical Asian voice saying a bunch of gibberish. Drew finds it so racist, he always tries to drown it out by talking about it, or by saying “alright, stop it!” when it starts playing. lol.
