Fairly common is the teenager calling up that’s on birth-control, AND condoms AND applying spermicide, AND is still worried about getting pregnant, smh, at least they’re not bringing more dummies into the world

  2. Landlubber

Adam talks shit about a guest who came in and indignantly corrected him when he said “rape victims.” The guest said “well these are rape SURVIVORS, not victims….”

The show in question is 4/1/2001 and the guest is Emanuel Sfarios, founder of the website DanceSafe, who provide information on the risks of certain illicit drugs. Jump to the 29-minute mark in that episode to hear the confrontation.

Adam doesn’t literally tell him to shut up as he says, but does crap on the guy’s condescending correction pretty well. He goes on to ask where we draw the line. Are there car accident victims or are they all just survivors? You can feel Adam’s disgust for the guy and it clearly stuck with him since almost two months later he’s able to recall the exact situation, where as he’s normally unable to recall something he said 24-hours earlier.

Adam complains that whenever someone makes a comment in advocacy of rape victims, even if the statement is asinine, if you come out against their ridiculous statement you sound like you’re advocating rape. This upsets him because at this point he has yet to explicitly come out for or against rape.

My fifth birthday ep. There’s a lot of audio pauses. Idk I thought the commercials were interesting, it’s cool to throw in a commercial ep every now and then. Lots of talk on the dial up tone made when you dial a wrong number. Early 2000s problems
