I love all of these episodes with the Jazz/ Blues music unintentionally caught in the background of the recording. It actually doesn't detract from the listenability at all and I find myself enjoying it.

I think about how hardcore the phrase vampire slayer sounds, then put the word Buffy in front of it and suddenly it's way different. Also LL taught me the management or owners at a lot of restaurants are kind of dirt bags. But solid stories in this

@Ruehling Either a bad reception where another station bled through or someone reused an old tape they didn't want. Happens from time to time.

Am I the only one that hears faint music in the background throughout the show?

I found another article written just two weeks ago. It mentions the divorce thing, which made no sense at all during the LL call.

@marrin519, nice find! That link didn't work (did you put the "hxxp" there?). Everyone else: just drag this into your address bar.

I found this article which pretty much has to be the story in question. Provides a little bit more insight than what we could obtain from the phone call.

The last call of the night is from a girl who's father and three siblings were recently murdered by her sister's boyfriend. She and her mother were spared, although the mother sustained a stab wound. The whole story is hard to follow and the motive is unclear, though it doesn't seem bogus. You get the sense she hasn't even begun to deal with loss.
