Adam: “This is Loveline, and in studio with us, Drew’s lovely bride Susan. And Susan, I don’t know who I was talking with the other day about you but I think you’re much saner than you were in the past.”

    Drew: “Is that a compliment?”

Adam: “I had a conversation with somebody and we were talking about you, and I can’t remember who it was, but we both agreed. You’re much mellower than you used to be. Is something different?”

Susan: “Just a lot more good sex.”

Adam: “Does Drew know about this?”

This whole exchange continues and is hilarious.

Man oh man is Drew’s wife annoying. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt because she’s not used to being on radio, but it’s like a really bad guest show with her in studio.

She spends most of the time cackling. A girl calls in to tell her she has an intoxicating laugh. Adam says “yeah, intoxicating like alcohol. At a certain point it makes you want to throw up.” When she’s not laughing, she’s chiming in on calls while Adam and even finally Drew have to tell her that she’s way off on her theories.

I’m sure she’s nice in real life but damn. If she was just some celebrity in there and not Drew’s wife people would be like “damn the guest sucks tonight. She’s a real bitch and Adam has to tell her to pipe down a bunch of times and tells Anderson to shut off her mic a couple times.”

The show ends with a rather uninspired lightning round. I blame Susan.

Drew’s wife comes across as kind of an idiot. However, she does provide a useful case study on attraction for women i.e. that they are attracted to guys who are pre-selected, in demand, and in many cases guys who seem unavailable. Having your life in order is part of the equation but if women sense that you’re on the prowl then they’re generally turned off unless they’re desperate themselves. Remember this advice and remember it well fellas.

It explains the frustration guys face with the snowball effect that occurs when a guy has a girlfriend/wife and a solid few or more female friends, especially if one or two are interested in him: suddenly women are all over the guy. Once the relationship is over for awhile and the guy decides to start playing the field again, he finds that the interest has already gone and its an uphill battle back to where it was.

It’s amusing to see her in denial (around 57:00) that men don’t think the same way. A great example of one of the many differences between men and women.
