Origin of the “bababababab” drop
Awesome old school Dennis Miller commercial for his old HBO show around 23 minutes. Making a Y2K joke involving Circuit City, no less!
Adam: “Dr. Drew is not here tonight, he’s on a sex tour of the far East.”
Bruce: “He’s on a lecture tour.”
Adam: “He’s lecturing on birth control to some of the Vietnamese hookers he’s spending some time with.”
Bruce: “Right.”
Adam: “Dr. Bruce is filling in tonight. Anyone who’s listened to this show for any period of time knows that Dr. Bruce is not even a shadow of Dr. Drew, but he’s all that we could rangle up on short notice.”
Bruce: “Thank you.”
A couple good analogies from Adam:
Guy and gal argue over whether they’re virgins. Guy penetrated girl, but she had a tampon in so she says they’re still virgins.
Adam: “Well you know what it’s like with the tampon? You know in hockey when a guy scores a goal, the puck has to cross the line and in the net so the siren can go off, bu there was a defenseman in front of him and everyone piled on and knocked the net off. So technically the puck still crossed the line but it was marred by someone being in front of the puck. The goal still stands. And why are you arguing about it when you’re on the same team?”
The same caller seems very interested in being able to consider himself a non-virgin.
Adam: “Here’s the deal, RJ, at 21 most of the women you date will probably assume you’re not a virgin anyway. It’s like being a high school grad. If you’re a nice guy, well-mannered, you got a decent job, and you wear a sweater every once-in-a-while, people don’t ask to see your diploma.”
Next one’s not an analogy, but a funny Bruce moment.
A white girl from a racist family calls in to ask for advice on her relationship with a black guy. Dr. Bruce makes a Freudian slip and ends up sounding like a racist.
Bruce: “What’s the guy like? Is he a good guy other than….”
Adam: “Other than being black? Is that what you were just gonna say?!”
Keep in mind that we have no information about the guy up to this point besides the fact that he is black. So what exactly was Bruce going to say? lol.
Origin of the “blah blah blah blah blah” drop XD. Idk why origin of ___ drop moments are so funny. Maybe because they had no idea that’d come back to get them lol. Bruce is in with a resident . Adam gets tricked into wet willying himself from a buddy

Dr. Bruce is seriously the worst, he got better as the show went along, but I can only imagine how Drew & Adam would dig into him if he were a caller and not on their team – born again Christian, divorced w/ troublemaker kids, obsessive w/ bizarre things, kind of a dick, socially awkward, spends his free time removing tattoos off of convicts – not saying it’s all “bad” but there is a definite pathology there. I guess you could say the same about Drew & Adam to some extent, but Bruce seems to let it really affect the advice he gives.
I enjoy the intermittent Dr. Spaz fill-in episodes. I think he is better than some of the other less interesting doctors that fill in, and the abuse that he inspires from Adam is usually pretty entertaining.
“If you keep this up, you’re going to go to jail, buddy.”
Adam was right that Bruce’s advice with the girl and her uncle was borderline irresponsible.
Regardless of the morality behind the act hitting a guy or a larger escalation and possible retaliation would have been both criminal and dangerous. There’s no guarantee the uncle would take his medicine and either not retaliate or call the cops or even both.
They don’t call him Dr. Spaz for nothing.
