I really like Rose! She provides a lot of advice to callers and goes along with Riki and Adam’s jokes. Meanwhile, Dr. Drew is clearly annoyed/disgusted with his co-hosts’ antics.
This is definitely my favorite pre-1996 episode. Rose is an awesome guest. Adam and Riki are having fun with each other. Drew is annoyed, which makes it even funnier.
Here’s my advice to future listeners: for some reason the beginning of this show has been cut off and is on the end of the Tears for Fears show. There’s some good stuff in that segment, and it helps explain some of the stuff that’s going on in this show, like why they’re getting all these dirty faxes sent to them. So listen to the last eleven minutes of that show before you listen to this one.
I personally thought this episode was pretty lame. This is the first episode I heard with host Riki, and he was just annoying to listen to.
It is true that the best episodes before the Adam/Drew era are still worse than the worst Adam/Drew episodes.
Very funny show!
I disagree on Rose. She does this incredibly annoying “just kidding!” thing constantly, to the point Riki threatens to throw her out. She does have some moments but way too much annoying talk. Play your position, let the hosts host, chime in occasionally.
