Adam’s theory of there being two types of British people: super nice and super pricks plays out on this show. Karl Wallinger definitely seems like he’d rather be somewhere else and even though he interacts with hosts and callers, he still comes across as “I’m better than this”. Prick!
Adam’s theory of there being two types of British people: super nice and super pricks plays out on this show. Karl Wallinger definitely seems like he’d rather be somewhere else and even though he interacts with hosts and callers, he still comes across as “I’m better than this”.
The first call is sort of heart-warming by LL standards. A 15 year old girl says she’s not getting along with her stepdad. She sounds like a pain in the ass, so Adam & Drew ask her to put him on the line, to get the other side of the story. He sounds like a great guy, so Adam & Drew tell her to appreciate him for raising her as if she were his own.
Karl comes in late (the usual wrong-studio error). He has a very, very dry (read: English) sense of humor, but he’s not so bad. Way better than, say, Damon Albarn of Blur (and I own everything Blur put out).
One of the earlier shows involving Adam’s long standing fued with his dentists.
