A repeat caller phones in during the beginning – it was a girl that got molested in a hotel that called in a longgggggggggg time prior. I def remember this girl – it was a strange story but I don’t remember all of the details.

    hank jackman. . . . . military gynecologist! hilarious,
oh and never ever open the show with a male caller haha adam is sooo right hahah

Drew: You know, I don’t find that funny.
Adam: Who gives a rat’s ass? If you don’t find that funny there’s a better or not chance that it’s hysterical!

Adam does his Hack bit about Hack having to become a rapist to catch an international jewel thief, and Drew reveals that he never found it funny. WTF? I know humor is subjective, but the point is that it’s a clever twist of a cliche’, not that they’re saying the word rapist. His sense of humor really is f**ked. The problem is Will Arnett doesn’t put the correct emphasis on the syllables to make the joke work. It’s supposed to be, “in order to CATCH an international jewel thief, Hack is going to have to BECOME a….rapist.” Drew’s revelation that he doesn’t find it funny leads to a long argument where Adam berates and yells at him both for not getting it, and especially for cutting him off right at the punchline when Adam is trying to hit the syllables correctly so he sees the humor in it.

The Mason Jar call that the guys sniff out is actually pretty good in the beginning but the kid starts sputtering out and not getting to the actual payoff quickly enough. Adam tells him it’s like he was trying to take off in a plane, but didn’t realize he was on an aircraft carrier. He started great, had more than enough ground speed to get lift, but didn’t pull back on the yoke soon enough, and ended up plunging into the ocean.

Gay kid calls in. After giving him advice on his problem, Adam says “why are you gay, did somebody sexually abuse you?” The kid says no, never had sexual abuse, and was just never attracted to women. Adam can’t let it go. “Okay, everything cool? Who screwed you up?” lol. Turns out the kid does have a bit of a sordid past with some sexual abuse mixed in.

Funny Germany or Florida at the end of the show involving a guy celebrating the death of his gay neighbor by singing joyously and lighting off fireworks in his front yard as they carry the man’s body out of his house in a coffin.

A guy calls in who is a virgin. He and his friends are about to go down to Tijuana and his friends say they’re gonna get him laid, whether by a hot girl in a bar, or if it comes to it, with a hooker that they pay for. The guys say that none of those guys is interested in him losing his virginity, but rather the opportunity to assert their dominance over him and make fun of him for still being a virgin. This is funny an all, but not entirely accurate. My group of friends had a virgin in it and at one point we decided we were gonna get him a hooker. It had nothing to do with humiliating or making fun of him. We just really wanted him to get laid. Anyway, he saved us some money by getting laid soon after we hatched that plan, so it never came to pass. But the point is, sometimes a friend just wants to by another friend a prostitute with no ulterior motives.

Knucklhd, yeah I guess humor is too subjective for either one of us to be “right” about this. I think it’s more clever than laugh out loud hilarious. And I’m totally with you on Chief Thunderbear. I have to fast forward through that whenever he starts.

The failed bogus caller, Ryan, is actually a great bogus caller from the past named Brian. (I think the screener misheard his name, because he never used fake names.) He made many bogus calls (and a couple of real ones) in 2001-2002, and was often successful. Drew never recognized his very recognizable voice.

Nah…..the closet they have ever come to blows was during the Bow Wow Wow show 11/05/2003.

It was during that period when Drew was getting guests to fill out some survey during the commercial breaks. The guests would never finish the survey in time before the break would end and Adam would get infuriated with Drew not asking the guest to stop and get back on point for when they go back on air.

Check it out it was pretty awkward lol, to the point where the guests commented that Drew and Adam had been working together for far too long lol.

I feel like Drew was almost purposely being obtuse not understanding that stepping on the punchline messes up the joke. Later he’s explaining some medical thing and Adam tries to add something and Drew says “I’m not done yet” or something, very passive-aggressive.
